I don't see him blocked from running, but I have been wondering about installing metal barred doors on the Oval Office? Can you see home confinement in the White House? I doubt it will come to that. It is unlikely Trump will get many non MAGA votes as a convict. I am wondering if the Republicans would really nominate him with the conviction, or if Trump might nominate someone to replace him if they intend to pardon any federal crimes. He might release his convention delegates to vote for an alternate candidate of his choosing with a deal offered in exchange. Haven't come up with an appropriate deal yet.
Trump has for a long time believed no one will hold him accountable for crimes; He has committed criminal acts freely. We have already seen trials for Trump University, his corporation, EJ Carol, and a half dozen members of his administration acing for Trump's benefit at his direction. Do you really not believe him responsible for stealing government documents, arranging fake electors, the Georgia RICO or the insurrection? I anticipate that when his pet judges eventually can't delay the remaining trials any further, future Trump trials will go the way the previous ones already have. If he can no longer be elected, the delays will eventually become irrelevant.

In the Fox v Dominion lawsuit, Murdoch admitted they broadcast not what they believed was true, but what they thought their audience wants to hear, which was what would get them the largest audience share. It was not about Red or Blue but green. Recently, watching the main stream news about the trial, the judge was sold as admirable, the jury dedicated, the prosecution's case through, Stormy and Cohen believable. The conservative press, Trump and Trump's wannabe veep picks reported it very much different. It was Biden's revenge based on imaginary facts. The conservative media just wants the money and market share, while the Republican politicians want the votes dedicated to Trump. The country is divided, and much of the blame goes on those telling the people what they want to hear.
I have been saying that after the peak of recent American crises, the conservative world view collapses. This was most blatant with the Revolution, Civil War and WW II. It's about due again. This domestic crisis should peak between the recent verdict and election day. Everyone might want to get ready for it.
