Re: Financial topics
Brady got it right... He deserves credit... But, congress has to follow up and do something. Too often, they bitch (to look good to the public) but then do nothing. I hope its different this time. Pressure is building. Thanks for the clip... I would have missed it -- I always mute the TV when Turbo ...

If you short stock index futures, the contracts have expiration dates and need to be rolled over. If you buy inverse ETFs, you can hold those as long ...

Re: Financial topics
It seems to me as if whoever is feeding this market is afraid to allow even a healthy correction for fear it will turn into a serious downturn. I think there is a lot of fear out there, but no one is willing to be the first to exit. The big funds are, at this point, just trying to get to the end of ...

Re: Financial topics
I think you guys are missing the point by figuring the gain from the bottom. With the type of decline we saw, you need 150% to get even, so 50% is only 1/3 back to the top. The form of this rally is pretty close to mirroring the Dow of 1929-1930 and 10,000 isn't even 1/2 way back. We still need ove...

Re: Financial topics
I feel the final blow to the recovery and stock market could be the Christmas Shopping season. If the markets have not crashed by November (which I feel they should), then once it becomes clear that the consumer is dead -- which will be evident by Christmas shopping season -- it will be clear there ...

Re: Financial topics
... I look at the future differently though in that the disparity provides for huge crash potential. Not all holders of stock are complete idiots and the government can't sponsor the purchase of all of it because there is too much. At some point, investors will sell. This has also been my thinking....
