Re: 22-Jan-14 World View -- Assad's industrial strength tort

"Useful idiots," as Lenin referred to them, in the truest sense of the words. This is exactly why they must be educated to look for real information, different perspectives, and most of all to ask difficult questions. On all of my exams there is a portion where the student must ask thought provokin...

Re: 19-Jan-13 World View -- China's directive: Get Ready for

If China was going to war with anyone ( and I do not wish war on anyone ) I'd prefer they attack Vietnam. This wouldn't suck the Western Allies in and it could teach China a good lesson of being bled dry by a tenacious enemy. Keep in mind that our view of Vietnam as tenacious is based on their figh...

Seeker if truth, Please wake up and take your binders off and see both sides instead of a bias. All one needs to do is google - republicans threaten violence and you see tea party in Mississippi as an example. A state known for racism. There are many pages of republican threats. Many pages? I google...

Re: The Dark Ages and Generational Dynamics

He particularly believes that we're entering a new dark ages. Yes, the Occupy movement and Anonymous are fighting against the government (although Anonymous has a rather loose definition due to the design of that particular organization), but the Occupy movement isn't fighting to be part of the gov...

Re: 7-Nov-12 World View -- Labor unions shut down Greece

Russians have always loved Europe, and all the wars with Europe (Great Northern War with Sweden, Napoleon's invasion, Hitler's invasion) have all been Awakening era wars for Russia and Crisis era wars for Europe. Then you have to remember that that Russia was our "bitter enemy" before and after WW ...

This is a frightening prospect. Do you have sources for this? I'd be interested to read more.

Re: Comments on the election

There's going to be plenty of finger-pointing and while my bias is leaking, I'd rather see Obama take at least some of the blame if there has to be a crash. I hate to say it, but I've been thinking the same thing. If there's going to be a crash anyway a nice silver lining would be for irresponsible...

Re: 7-Nov-12 World View -- Labor unions shut down Greece

In hindsight it makes sense that Obama would win, as he was the "kick the can" candidate. He was elected based on "hope," which is right in line with a pre-turning leader, and ran for reelection by blaming his predecessor, demonizing his opponent, promising goodies and offering baseless assurances t...

Comprehensive War Timeline - A Great Resource!

A while back I stumbled across this excellent site called The War Scholar and meant to share it. It seems the site is now offline, but I was able to find it archived. Anyway, the title sums it up nicely: A MILITARY HISTORY TIMELINE OF WAR AND CONFLICT ACROSS THE GLOBE 3000 B.C. to A.D. 1999 http://w...
