So somebody got why wars start up again
Generational dynamics / Fourth Turning tells us that wars start because the older generation that survived the last crisis war die off leaving a younger generation that thinks it can fight a war. Here's a conversation on Reddit. I guess they get it: She's one of the last members of "the generation o...

Re: Three interesting things related to Ukraine . . .
I've been following the Fourth Turning / Generational Dynamics for almost 16 years now. From what I understand, things won't calm down from here. They will get worse. The rationale is that the leadership is younger and didn't go through WW2. They believe that they can win a war. They believe that ot...

Three interesting things related to Ukraine . . .
Thought I'd post three things I found interesting today: (1) A crowd sourced DoS script to attack Russia: https://www.reddit.com/r/hacking/comments/t1a8is/simple_html_dos_script_for_russian_sites/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf (2) GitHub page for cybersecurity resources for Ukr...

Not sure. It's 646 pages written in French. A quick search doesn't yield an obvious and easy to get English version.

French study warns of the massive scale of Chinese influence around the world
The report meticulously maps out China's means of exerting influence abroad, from "most benign (public diplomacy) to the most malignant, (clandestine activities)," including attempt to agressively manipulate public opinion abroad through think-tanks, "Confucius Insitutions" and media. https://www.rf...

Column: What can you do about the Trumpites next door?
Interesting read reaveling how deep the hatred of the left is to Trump supporters. What struck me was how aware she is of their kindness, but so overwhelmeed by Trump as to disregard it.

U.S. intelligence officials say Chinese government is collecting Americans' DNA
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-us-biodata-60-minutes-2021-01-28/ I wonder if this is for advanced biological weapons against those of us in the lower kingdom. With a lot of data thrown into an AI they could determine a biological weapon that could be very deadly to white people of European desc...

Re: Strauss-Howe Fourth Turning discussions
Yesterday it blew up. No. It's been blowing up all year, and you could probably even argue for the last 20 years or so. The division in world view has been on full display all year. This is straight up Fourth Turning. People find (either real or imagined) that their society and government isn't dea...

Re: Inside China’s controversial mission to reinvent the internet
I haven't heard anything more about it, but I haven't looked either. I would suspect that given (1) people are starting to distrust Chinese electronics and (2) it's been pretty slow for the world to adopt IPV6 that it will be a very long time before their stuff is adopted if at all.
