Re: 25-Dec-17 World View -- Remembering the 1914 World War I Christmas Truce / The 'anti-war movement' in World War I

I can only guess because I haven't researched it. Awakening climaxes can occur late, so the fall of the Berlin wall is likely for East Germany. For France, I would guess something to do with de Gaulle. For the UK, maybe something to do with Thatcher, although one would have to look at the four nati...

Awakening climaxes for West Europe

Does anyone know what the awakening climaxes for Western Europe are? I know East Germany, and possibly West Germany had their awakening climax in 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall, but what about the UK or France for example? I'd particularly love to hear from those either from the UK or France ...

Re: 25-Dec-17 World View -- Remembering the 1914 World War I Christmas Truce / The 'anti-war movement' in World War I

World War II was an Awakening era war for Russia. Ten years ago, David Kaiser opined that WW II was an Awakening war for Russia, but it so thoroughly destroyed the Prophet generation that it postponed the next crisis war, which hasn't yet occurred. This is similar to the reasoning behind a "First T...

Yeah, they were called communist revolutions. Explain? Especially since most of them were instigated by Russia after liberation. Were there antiwar movements in E Europe, the Balkans, Russia, or the Middle East during WWII? The 'anti-war movement' in World War I John, have you come across any anti-...

Since Robert Mugabe resigned, do you think this would count as an awakening climax? The reaction of the Zimbabwean people certainly appears to make this the case.

Re: Awakenings

If I understand your point, you're saying that the War of the Spanish Success unified England and Scotland after their split in the English civil war. That makes sense to me. There have been tens or hundreds of thousands of individual tribes and societies throughout history, and now there are only ...

Re: Awakenings

Sorry for not replying sooner Violence during an Awakening is highly correlated to whether the previous crisis war was an internal ethnic or religious civil war, versus an external war. These two cases are enormously different. The following article from 2011 says that the Glorious Revolution was a ...

Re: 29-Sep-17 World View -- Burma's (Myanmar's) leaders may be inspired by Pol Pot's Cambodian 'Killing Fields' genocide

This is contrary to historical fact. You should look at the Mennonites or Amish for example. These and some other sects descended from the Anabaptists are have existed for over four hundred years. They are strict pacifists and they live it. There are many examples of these strictly pacifist religio...

Re: 6-Sep-17 World View -- North Korea and Russia continue to incite a new Korean War

Have you been able to come up with a list of all of Korea's crisis wars from the 1500s to the present? I've been doing some light research the past couple days, and its been very difficult to find crisis wars between the Imjin War and WWII for Korea. Here's a brief analysis of Korea's history betwe...
