John, or anyone else, there seems to be some belief that "inflation is peaking about now". If you think that, how many more months of CPI going up 0.5% or more per month would shake your belief? I don't know the USA economy or how the CPI is spent. In a poor country one could assume that basics tak...

"The all items index rose 6.8 percent for the 12 months ending October, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending June 1982." https://www.bls.gov/news.release/cpi.nr0.htm I had predictions of 6.6, 6.7, 6.9. So this is only slightly above the average of those. Question now is if the high...

On my charts Gold is looking like its coiled ready to fly upwards; I don't know how much. So this might be an inflation warning that Vince is right after all. However, I can't help feeling that longer term gold, the stock markets, bitcoin, and all will be deflationery. A market and economic crash is...

** 08-Dec-2021 World View: Friday's CPI report I don't really believe that "experts" trying to predict the cpi have any reason but their "feelings." So we'll see on Friday whether they're right, and the cpi reaches 6.9%. You are right John that investors don't believe the inflation predictions. My ...

"Traders of derivatives-like instruments known as “fixings” are betting that the headline, year-over-year CPI reading for November will rise by 6.9%, which would be the highest inflation level in almost four decades. That’s a bit above the 6.7% median estimate of economists polled by the Wall Stree...
