I went to public school in the 70's. Besides math and spelling, most of what I remember being taught had to do with race and how my ancestors were evil bad people; right before they bused us kids into the inner city schools. Some learned the truth about ancestors in the revolutionary war as soldiers. Their contributions to building this country from the start are staggering. I'm just glad I was able to shake off some of the indoctrination and at least learn the truth about what I come from, so I can teach my children the truth about their ancestors.
My rights as a US citizen are not so easily found, even now.
