The number of people concerned about debt is highest right after a
generational financial crisis (1637, 1720, 1789, 1857, 1929).

After that, the number of people concerned about debt continues to
decrease. Perhaps there's a way of defining an exponential decay
function that expresses this:

T = time since last generational financial crisis
C(T) = number of people concerned about debt at time T
C0 = number of people concerned about debt at time T=0
K = positive number indicating rate of decay

So the exponential decay function is:

C(T) = C0 * T**-K

A similar function could be used to describe the number of people
worried about a new generational crisis war. It seems that everyone
believes it can't happen, until it does.
In order for the debt and money printing to go too far, which it is/will, we have to get to where too few people worry about it.
As they destroy the currency they will first blame private industry for price increases. Eventually when it is completely destroyed, and they give up on it and want to make a new currency, they will set up strict rules for money printing. These rules will be followed for a time.
If you look back 5 or 10 years from now you will see Gold and Bitcoin could have protected you from the money printers.

I have been saying the same thing for over a year (very strongly urging people) but the inertia of most humans makes it fall on deaf ears. What's worse is that it won't only save you with real purchasing power, we are still in the adoption phase where it can make you a 1%er of major envy to all others.

In this sense, I have seen what John has regarding the Cassandra phenomenon, which can go to our heads --- but I've made enough predictions and seen enough happening that came true (like predicting Trump's election) to realize that when I'm onto something as you are here, it's almost like Willy Wonka: "Stop. Don't. Come back."

They never listen. Then they agree with your 2 years later. I think it's mostly what people have been conditioned to, historically and currently what the social cues are. Sad, but true how few of us there are that get it.

The Permanent Portfolio was a concept popularized by the late Harry Browne,
a writer, investment adviser and two-time Libertarian presidential candidate.
The portfolio is simple yet elegant.

Browne divided his Permanent Portfolio into four equal parts: stocks, long-term bonds, cash and gold,
and he rebalanced it annually with the idea that there’s always a bull market in something.
Dalio’s $160 billion hedge fund essentially just runs a more sophisticated version of Browne’s Permanent Portfolio.

Socially the inept leftards have finally figured out Book of the Machines, three chapters of Erewhon, published anonymously in 1872
utilized by the NZ left moaist shooter. This thread started as the MMT notes from the NZ infection route that culminated in a Missouri

As we knew they weaponized it from that root as they adapted the current edition as we forwarded as the orange bible. We know that sprout also. Clever, but at least we can respect the pagans more than these murderous unchecked fascist pathogens.
