They failed to plausibly document any of their charges against him. They made a mockery of President Biden’s half-hearted, dazedly delivered pledge of bipartisanship and burying of political enmities in his already forgotten Inaugural Address.

They also handed to the Republicans a perfect precedent for impeaching Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris if they regain control of Congress in 2022, assuming the ramshackle US political system can even survive until then.

The outcome of Trump’s second impeachment was therefore a catastrophe for the Democrats. It repeated Obama and Biden’s disastrous bungled start to their 2009 administration and it already heralds the rapid isolation and collapse of the Biden regime.

Yes, I think the last rally is now over. Whether this is now a correction leading to a crash is still in question. I like to include technical analysis and I am seeing a head and shoulders correction on the S&P 500 to 3835. Still very uncertain ongoing. The only certainty is its a completely mad market at present.

Crypto correction with BTC leading the way down to mid to low 40s, at which point one should absolutely buy. Everything is proceeding as we have foreseen.

Covered shorts today. As mentioned a few days ago, I'm still micromanaging the account. If the S&P swings up an extreme amount on a short term basis, I may scale into another short.

I'm leaving the day without any positions. I see a few possibilities that may be better than tying up cash in shorts.
