possible (which is pretty much always), then he starts his post with
"OK Boomer." Based on what I see happening every day, I can't see any
reason why any Boomer would want to even stay alive anymore.
We have nothing to contribute to society that anyone wants. Better to
just let the kids follow idiots like AOC, and not even bother to stick
around for the ensuing disaster.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

Point of the above being that it's a completely nonproductive retort and closes off all communication.
When I was a kid (Gen X with Silent parents) at least I injected a little humor by calling my parents the "Old Fudder Dudders." That gave my parents a chance to laugh and then articulate their position.

** 09-Nov-2019 A Parable about Generations
Boomers have a culture where you can argue with each other with
vitriolic fervor and still be friends.
But if you argue with a Gen-Xer, then he smiles and doesn't say
anything. But as soon as you turn around, you're on the floor with
your blood spilling all over the place as result of the big knife that
the Gen-Xer shoved into your back when you weren't looking. If you're
still able to look around with your last dying breath, then you can
see that he's still smiling.
I've posted this parable in the past:Higgenbotham wrote: > Point of the above being that it's a completely nonproductive

What is the age (range) of these "Gen-Xers" again?John wrote:** 09-Nov-2019 A Parable about Generations

Are these in the same group that plays computer games with a "Griefer KoS Anti-Carebear" philosophy?
(( KoS = Kill on Sight ))
..the group after them in combination with the one prior to them will eventually convert them, and/or annihilate them when "decision time" comes.
But, yeah,.. they're REALLY not into communicating, other than via the language of material physics.
Re: Teens use 'OK boomer' to fire back at older generations' criticisms
As a Gen-Xer I find these comment offensive. Especially as I listen to and have the greatest respect for the boomers in my family. At what point do we put aside generational sterotypes and listen? If I recall The Fourth Turning, doesn't each generational archetype have something to offer? Aren't Gen-Xers Nomads that are pragmatic with an older skill set that the Heros will need to win the war? And isn't it the Nomads that will be used as a governor on the Prophets and Greying Champion? Can anything good be said about Gen-Xers? What do we see in each generational archetype today that will help win the war to come?
