As a proud, informed (thanks John!) member of GenX, I was happy to see we are finally starting to take over!! WooHoo! lol

While Gen X may be equally capable at digital tasks as millennials, they also show a mastery of conventional leadership skills more on par with leaders of the baby boomer generation. That includes identifying and developing new talent at their organizations and driving the execution of business strategies to bring new ideas to reality.
I TRULY hope we do a better job than the Boomers!

Well, lotsa luck with that. Wait till you have to actually make
decisions, rather than just sit back and criticize other people's
decisions.

I've written a number of times about what's happened in the case of
information technology (IT).

The greatest IT success in world history: The Y2K project. It
took place throughout the 1990s, implemented by Silents and Boomers,
with a total worldwide cost of around $700 billion. It was so
successful that when nothing happened on 1/1/2000, a lot of people
thought that there had never been a problem in the first place.

The greatest IT disaster in world history: Healthcare.gov. It
was implemented by Gen-Xers, a project defined by incomptence,
corruption, fraud and stupidity.

In the Financial Topics thread, Higgenbotham has posted a number of
similar anecdotes in the real estate, finance, and environmental
industries.

So you're hoping that things will be better managed by Gen-Xers? Good
luck with that.

As long as I have followed you, I hope you know I was making that comment more tongue-in-cheek than anything. But I do hold (just a little) hope that with the boomers out of the mix, Gen-X might come to their senses a bit more. I can always hold out hope; can't I?

Speaking as a Nomad member of Gen-X, I would not trust any of my generation any further than I could throw them. I've seen what we are like. We scare me.

I hear you and yes, I agree. I was born in '67. Not sure where that puts me. I've read, "Prophet, Baby Boomer" and "Silent, Gen-X".

Fuck you too. Obama is a Gen-Xer, he considers himself to
be a Gen-Xer, and he hates Boomers.

<chuckle, chuckle, chuckle...>

..Iʻm sure nobody minds a few chuckles at the F-bomb "war" in progress. :) Weʻre all anti-PC folks around here, right?

BUT,.. is this a GD Crisis F-bomb War, or just one of those fizzly wars?
