Artificial Inteligence - Autonomous Decisions - Lethal Force

Post by Reality Check »

A Lot of interesting information on U.S. tax payer money being spent for development of various autonomous robotic technologies related to governments interacting with "non-cooperative" humans, as well as other humans.

Well worth reading.

The most interesting fact is the overriding purpose of these technologies. Governments want to make the task of governments "dealing with" humans less costly and with less human interaction.

Build robots and give them jobs. Then they will ask for payment, benefits, including maintenance insurance, vacation time, laws against robotic discrimination, promotions, and the right to seek other forms of employment.

I use robotic equipment at work, and these machines are dumb as rocks and work half the time (okay, that's an exaggeration. One system works well 90 percent of the time, the other systems work well for a few days after maintenance releases them.)
