No-one is mentioning North Korea in these equations but the fact remains that both Soviet Russia and communist China back the Korean invasion of south Korea in the early 1950's. Although the borders eventually settled along trench fighting lines, the fact remains that no peace treaty has ever been concluded between north and south Korea and technically they are still at war. This is potentially a powder keg in the current international environment since they still have their original sponsors.
See my comments on the main board regarding Chinese power projection once war start.

The Chinese aren't going to let the Russians lose in Ukraine. They need a viable threat to Europe. Chinese "peace initiatives" are a crock, designed to give Russia an edge and to allow it to quickly rearm.

The Chinese don't want to show their hand yet though, they need the west to be as complacent as possible when they actually make their move.

US government officials told a Japanese news source, Kyodo News, that although they are still unsure if China did indeed supply Russia with ammunition, they will take action against China if it is true.
After examining ammunition found in Ukraine, the US has determined that they were produced in China. The US did not disclose which ammunition it was.
US President Joe Biden warned Xi that if China were to provide any military aid to Russia to use during the war, there would be severe consequences.
There you go. Except serious sanctions against China this year.

Why would they be worried when they own the Biden family, multiple congressmen, and the judges in that same party? So much for your "Constitution", Navi.

An optimistic scenario is that the Russian security apparatus, aware that Putin is disarming the country and pushing into vassalage to China, might stop the war before the harm to Russia is irreparable. If Russia loses and has to accept the new peace we must be magnanimous in victory and offer them a life back in the fold. We may need them and them us sooner than we think! The irony is the only way to bring them on side again is to beat them first in Ukraine. Not dissimilar to our firm allies now in Germany and Japan.
It's a very interesting condition in that our focus and fear will transition from Russia to China. We absolutely will need Russia like we needed them against the Nazis. Except this time it's us getting bogged down and exhausted before the real war. Getting the resituated done properly and timely will require luck and expertise. The more munitions and men wasted in this battle means less for the real war to come. The longer it takes the stronger the real foe becomes. They're almost at full speed in preparation now but luckily we're finally starting to catch up.

We know they're corrupt. And there's probably scores of others together with sympathizers and cowardly sycophants. They're getting away with as much as possible while these traitors remain in power, but that time will soon end. How much they do before and after the transition is a very interesting condition with many variables. I think that they would prefer to wait and take small bites, unless they're forced to move early. Regardless, what's being planned is open for all to see now and we see it accelerating ever more quickly. Maybe it will just be some small thing to set it off.

They really are determined to cause trouble. The policy of handing all of our manufacturing over to China as it’s a bit cheaper has turned out to be a disaster. Time to start unwinding it. I try to avoid buying Chinese stuff wherever and whenever I can but it’s very difficult and I type this on an iPad.

Wait for Russia to properly ruin itself then go all in .. Taiwan in NATO.

I doubt China will edit until next year to attack. I think Xi understands his window of opportunity is closing. Macron, that stupid French baboon, didn't help matters last week.
