The "night vision on the cheap" option is to go with an infra-red spotlight and scope. You would be at a serious disadvantage if the opponents had infra-red, but those that you are worried about are not going to have tech (or know how to use it).

I prefer to think of it as night hunting sans regulations. Watching the Texas hog hunts on YouTube etc. There's just a plethora of choices though.

Live far out in nature. The Dakotas are good. People will show up after the collapse to rob you, but at least you could see them coming. A ug out location could be an acre of land in the country with a camper trailer.

Anyone in an urban area with a high black or Hispanic population is as good as dead.

The proper gear is important, but location is the most important factor now.

In a few weeks 95% of the population will be dead. Survive that long, and you have a good chance of making it.

I have been through numerous hurricanes. In the city, things went sideways with looters and crimes of opportunity immediately.

On the island, i had no problems with looters ( personally) at all.

People need to understand demographic realities now, not after. Protect your family and yourself.

For sure, and even if you are hyperbolic, the point is the point.

Do you think it takes more than 3 weeks to get "through"? Also, I think degradation and longer term decay is more likely, but are you saying the big death tolls are related to electricity outages and basic staples being poof! gone? It does matter somewhat what season you are in, I imagine, and the city layout/weather pattern.

Are you saying that one should go to the northern states? I can't disagree with this.

I'm curious if John still tries to be the anti-racialist here when it's so obvious who and what causes the killing and low IQ associated behaviors.

'Stay frosty ' is a quote from the film Aliens. It is what corporal Hicks told his fellow Marines.
