Its an eschatological political agenda that is incomprehensible to most Catholics, orthodox and Mainline protestants. They also support the idea of the US subordinating policy to Israel and strong Support for Israel as this is supposed to factor in their predicted version of the end times apocalypse.
Apocalyptic cults are nowhere near representative of the Protestant faith. Martin Luther would not approve.

Are you Serbian Orthodox?
I'm From a catholic family actually, although I myself have been secular. I Simply noted that Most of Eastern Europe is traditionally orthodox though.

That's not true. Latvia and Estonia are Lutheran. Lithuania is Catholic. Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, the Czechs, and minorities in Albania and Bosnia are Catholic. Bosnians and Albanians are majority Moslem. Romania and Bulgaria are Orthodox, but both have Moslem minorities. Albania has a large Orthodox Christian minority too. The Caucasus are Moslem and Orthodox. You don't really know much about Eastern Europe. You have an overly simplified view of it. Ethnicity is more important than religion in Eastern Europe. Religion is dead in the East in the traditional sense. It's a cultural distinction now.

All I can say is that, if you are an Orthodox bigwig and are asking Rome for help, there's going to be a non-zero number of people who might normally support you who are gonna raise some eyebrows. Certainly doesn't make the situation any less complicated.

An Orthodox Patriarch appealing to the Pope smacks of modern social media. Why not ask Kim Kardashian or Kayne West to intervene?

The Patriarch is just a part of Putin's political machine, nothing more. Nothing more, and Kiril is the Patriarch of Russia. Russia is a 4th rate power under Putin. A mafia state. It's embarrassing. Modern Russia and the dwindling Russian people are a complete joke.

Hmmmmm... That could be quite amusing. I say YES....!!

..'though there is no "Kayne West". But we can CREATE one! We have the POWAHHHHH... and power tools, to do so,.. so let's make it happen!

We can call him Kayne East, and make him, and Some-Random-Kardashian™-Configured-Sexbot, ambassadors to the East (thus "Kayne EAST") to save the East from itself.

Might work,.. ya' never know...
