The places where I used "Turkish" were in the material on the Zhou
dynasty sourced from Wolfram Eberhard's book A History of China. But
I've now changed it to "Turkic" in those places. Thanks for
the correction.

When the Manchus were running China, they knew how to govern an
empire. The Chinese threw out the Manchus, and since then have been
completely incompetent to govern even a province, let alone a nation
or an empire, and have lurched from one disaster to another, with the
worst disaster yet to come. The absurd thing is that they can't
govern themselves, but they think they can govern the world -- in
Mandarin no less.
