Regarding the situation in France it's actually insane. They arrested 8 women and men in Lyon because they put up posters saying Justice for Thomas~a 16 year old murdered at a village festival by a gang of Africans and Arabs looking to " Kill white people". One couple had their safe broken in by the police and all their savings seized. One woman had her French flag seized as proof of far right terrorism. They're risking 8 months jail for incitation to racial hatred.

Another group of young guys went to the no go zone whence the arabs who killed the kid came from. They demonstrated saying Islam out of Europe. Police arrested them and didn't intervene when one of them got kidnapped and beaten to an inch of his life by arabs. A dozen guys age 18-25 got 10 months jail, no bond, no suspension.

Unfortunately, yes. Long ago the French colonized Muslim territory in Africa, and now are paying a price in racial instability. They enabled the Catholic ruling class in Vietnam as well. In the US it was black slavery. Britain went after Middle Eastern oil. In the Opium Wars time frame, everyone was in China.

In many places where there are current or recent racial flare ups, there is a history of dominant European nations trying to exploit somebody. The current generation on both sides were not part of it, but the trouble that results is real. With hindsight, hating, oppressing and killing the different is a bad idea. Too late now.

Regarding racial tensions and Bob’s western blame; LUL. This viewpoint might fly at universities and coastal dinner parties, but it’s so far detached from reality: Ever nation, people, clan, etc. has conquered before. Western civilizations attempts to be inclusive and rise above it doesn’t work when you allow leftists and libertarian financial people import large amounts of hostile, uneducated, and reliant peoples for cheap wages and votes.

Regarding Trump, he may be winning in polls but he is dead in the water if he’s the Republican nominee. His young support (this is anecdotal) around here is dead, with many people stating they will either vote for him begrudgingly or not vote at all. When you abandon your supporters to be prosecuted and have their lives destroyed it doesn’t do well for trust. J6 protestors may seem to be a meme or joke, but it resonates deeply with people that Trump did not pardon them. They were “useful idiots” who will sadly never achieve the quality of life they had before J6.

Regarding Ukraine - it’s over. The west has no stomach for the conflict, they won’t get in NATO, the military industrial complex has made their money and done their R&D. Zelensky will be forced to settle and likely go into exile in a multimillion dollar London residence where he can live in luxury off the US and EU taxpayers for the rest of his life. These leaders supported by the west really need to be vetted, and if found lacking, removed or left to fall. Gotta love finding out that the former president of Afghanistan was enthralled with Roblox (a children’s computer game plagued by predators) up to 4 months before the fall of the country.

I just see less desire to be inclusive than a desire of the rich to import cheap labor, and the desire of the rich to exploit colonies. The troublesome motivation is greed. The lower classes have long had a history of disliking the immigrants of the moment, but the rich have enough political influence to get richer. One ends up linking with other cultures and importing those most desperate to move. I can agree this is bad. Alas, with global warming the need to move will manifest, and the problem of linking people to livable turf won't go away.

Some of the arrests were before the inauguration but not all. I believe pardons do not require an arrest happen first, but they are an admission of guilt.

There were two options:

1. Blanket pardon: this was deemed “undoable” because it applied to a large group of undefined people, plus WH counsel Cipollone threatened to quit.

I can understand this not working. I however think it’s in poor taste to use it as a campaign point - If you elect me in 2024 I’ll pardon them - which Trump has stated.

2. Trump could’ve pardoned those arrested between Jan 6 and Biden being sworn in Jan 20.

Richard Barnett was arrested Jan 8.
Jacob Chansley (Q Anon shaman) arrested Jan 9.
Larry Brock was arrested Jan 10.
There are others.

These are the people Trump could’ve pardoned, but he didn’t. Now I could be mistaken, but if he knew they were arrested, he could’ve provided them a blanket pardon but didn’t.

If you start out a relationship with slavery, colonial imperialism or exploitation, you don't expect resentment? Do you think hatred, oppression and killing are a great way to make friends and influence people? You reap what you sow. This is not to say that the common people are at fault, or that the worst was done recently. This is not to say we should not strive to select those immigrants most open to western values. It is just that many other groups were treated badly by the West and have a resentment which will soon be returned.
