People in the mainstream media are deathly afraid of a war, because
then Trump will lead the nation through the war, and be recognized as
one of the country's greatest presidents, along with Washington,
Lincoln and Roosevelt. These people vitriolically hate Trump, so this
thought is unbearable.

What the mainstream media is really hoping for is a recession, since
that will make it less likely that Trump will be reelected.

It reminds me of when President Bush sent troops into Iraq for the
"surge" in 2007, the mainstream media, including the NY Times, were
actively supporting and helping al-Qaeda in Iraq, and wanted them to
defeat the US.

This is what I mean about the destructiveness and self-destructiveness
of Generation-X.
Thomas Friedman is a boomer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Friedman). A recession is highly likely to precede any major war because that is the usual sequence of war buildups, First a collapse of the existing trading networks then a Major war to relieve/carve out new niches in the depressionary aftermath. The only major war that didn't have this pattern was WW1, and that is more of the exception that proves the Rule as WW1 was not the 4T war, WW2 was.

Was your website down for a couple of days or was it only blocked in Asia? Is Beijing attacking you again? Perhaps local governments here are attempting to block you?

The American press is saying Trump 'blinked' on China tariffs. I hope not.

Which website are you referring to -- GenerationalDynamics.com
or gdxforum.com?

Both sites have been under low-level DDOS attacks from Chinese IPs
continuously since around 2011.

I run a script that wakes up every minute and checks to see
that both web sites are up and running. Both sites occasionally
become unavailable for a minute or so every now and then, but there
have been no long outages for a few months.

If you're having problem accessing a web site, it would be helpful if
you could provide this information:
  • Your IP address
  • The exact time, to the second (so I can check the web site log to
see what was happening at that moment)
  • What you tried to access -- what URL, what did you click on, etc.
  • What error message(s) were displayed?

I don't know where the first person is from, but I'm in South Korea and your website was blocked for two days. I think it was the South Korean government. They do things like this sometimes. (You are only really 'free' to agree with the current lunatic administration. It's funny how leftists only support 'free speech' when they are not in power...)

Or the Chinese government could be trying to block you Asia wide (which they have been trying to do to some websites for years.)

One of my former co-workers introduced your site to me and now he occasionally translates parts of your analysis into Korean and posts it online over here. He does give you credit for it which leads me to suspect the lunatic Moon (beam) administration is trying to block you.

Thank you for your hard work.

Beneath the veil of Xi Jinpings legacy project
One Belt One Road’ Is Just a Marketing Campaign
China’s signature project is actually a sweeping, poorly coordinated branding effort posing as an infrastructure initiative.
OBOR is not a Chinese Marshall Plan. It is more like a Chinese version of “Make America Great Again.”
To serve mankind; it's a cook book!

As time goes on, the objectives of OBOR are becoming clearer. Under
Xi Jinping, everything that China does is preparation for war, and
OBOR is major part of that.
  • Plunder resources from as many countries as possible,
    to feed the war machine.
  • Gain sea ports in as many countries as possible, for use
    in preparation for war.
  • Install Huawei 5G networks in as many countries as possible,
so that China's military will be in control of as much of the
internet as possible, in time of war.
  • Establish Chinese enclaves in as many countries as possible, in
order to have a local force in each country, for intelligence
gathering, policy influencing, and other purposes.
  • Use infrastructure projects in as many countries as possible, in
order to control the government's foreign policy, especially with
regard to Taiwan and also the arrest of millions of Uighurs and
Kazakhs for use as slave labor for the war effort.
The Chinese do not care whether the bridges they build will last a
long time. They want them for war now.
