Chinese Yuan breaks 7, all hell is breaking loose as China declares start of currency war.

Army crackdown in Hong Kong is days, not weeks, away. Taiwan will fall. Seoul will fall.

Cantos will only survive in San Francisco and Vancouver. Canton is lost forever.

Japan might hang on. Tora! Tora! Tora!

Today I’m releasing our views on the financial, political, and legal plight of Hong Kong. I think Investors that have assets invested there should immediately move them into USD before it’s too late. #china #onecountryonesystem #hk
Interesting take.

It's over. Good bye, Mr. Johnston! We'll miss you, Mr. Johnston!

Prepare for war.

Calling on the international community to call on the United States, Britain, Japan and the United Nations to sanction the Communist Party of the terrorist organization. The Communist Party really replayed the 1989-06-04 bloody case 30 years ago. They reversed their actions and ignored the public opinion. They are the incarnation of Satan.
Kill the Communist Party! ! !
Kill the Communist Party! ! !
Kill the Communist Party! ! !

China’s state-run agricultural firms have now stopped buying American farm goods, and are waiting to see how trade talks progress.

John, when you bought 10 ISBN codes, were you required to use all of them at one, or could you hold some in reserve for later?

Xi doesn’t really have a choice...and domestic discord with HK—let alone Taiwan and the Spratly misadventure—creates a vice of his own making.

Ultimately, he and the CCP may not survive.

China is both wrong and overextended here.

On the one hand, it must stop its IP theft and western technology transfer extortion applied to foreign investment...especially with even cheaper labor alternatives nearby.

And on the other hand...China can’t do that, and also continue its maniacal march toward being top dog someday. It must pilfer what it cannot innovate, and if it could innovate...it would have ejected western corporate interests a long time ago, as they would’ve become competitors by now.

China’s cheap labor would’ve been the edge they needed to beat that competition...if they could innovate independently.

Having run into an American president who’s finally doing what should’ve been done decades ago, they are between a rock and a very hard place.

Xi is trying to counter the effects of Trump’s tariffs by making Chinese goods cheaper in dollar terms.

He does this at great risk of serious inflation in a country already suffering fewer western-purchased Chinese exports...because offshoring, for fifty-plus years, has damaged western consumer pockets very badly.

1.4 billion Chinese, already struggling, and now expected to cope with serious inflation, caused by Xi’s efforts to wage a war he can’t win...and cannot lose...

...on top of brewing domestic issues...

...is a recipe for cataclysm...

Just as Chinese goods are getting around tariffs by goods-laundering via 3rd party nations, they are getting our ag-goods via proxy. You can change the market numbers all you want, but a billion people still have to eat.

BTW, now might be a good time to start retiring some of that debt - at the new lower price. Thanks, China

I can't believe how short sighted the Chinese are. Is HK worth letting the economy collapse? Is Taiwan worth a nuclear war? The Chinese are idiots.
