Thought I'd post three things I found interesting today:

Things seem to stabilize a bit there. Let's not be too optimistic, but in today's climate we have to believe in something. As we speak the Ukrainian diplomacy are talking to Russians discussing ending this war. Russia doesn't look too good here, but let's hope it will be over soon.

I've been following the Fourth Turning / Generational Dynamics for almost 16 years now. From what I understand, things won't calm down from here. They will get worse. The rationale is that the leadership is younger and didn't go through WW2. They believe that they can win a war. They believe that other people will back down. They won't. We're seeing that with Ukraine. They aren't backing down. NATO countries are stepping up to arm the Ukrainians win the U.S. didn't. Putin won't back down. Xi won't back down. Buckle up.

I hope you're wrong here. On the other hand this war serves no purpose. Putin got something in his head and not too many followers or supporters. I believe he will be gone some time soon by one of his own and will truly end this conflict. Nobody wants this war.

Nobody "wanted" WWI or WWII either.
