...
There are many examples of more subtle exploiting of the Generational Hatred and Immoral Greed by some Generations for Political Purposes, but this one of the most blatant examples.

Linked Article wrote:Argentine lawmakers approved a bill lowering the country’s voting age, a move that could rally youth support as President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner tries to revert a slide in her popularity ahead of congressional elections next year.

... Fernandez has courted young voters since being elected in 2007, ... tapping funds from the social security agency to provide students with free laptops.

... converting Argentina into one of only a handful of nations where 16-year-olds can vote

The fact that the President and her party, which controls the legislature, took Retirement funds out of Social Security to buy Children Laptops is such a clear example of stealing from ones generational enemies, to try to buy the vote of another generation is stunningly blatant generational warfare, not to mention immoral.

This might just be my opinion, but in the United States, it seems like the Republicans have aligned themselves with the Boomers, while the Democrats have aligned with Generation X.

This Gen Xer isn't aligned with the Democrats. I'm an Xer only by birth day.

I've been reading about this bill for a few days now. Certainly seems as if the ducks are lining up.

From my observations, generational divides are only political during an awakening (youth vs elders). During a crisis, different generations respond differently, but political and ideological differences can still split brother against brother. Examples of Boomer liberals: Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Chris Matthews. Examples of Boomer conservatives: John Boehner, George W Bush, and Bill O'Reilly. Examples of GenX liberals: Barack Obama, Occupy Movement. Examples of GenX conservatives: Glenn Beck, Tea Party Movement.

What will be interesting to watch will be how the sides will unify as
the crisis becomes more intense. We've already seen that a little
with Ebola crisis.

John a while back I think you said the coming conflict in the US would be between the "Yankees" and the "Hispanics". I disagreed, I though it would be between the "Blacks" and the "Whites" (the Whites being the Whites, Hispanics and Asians according to the definition of an earlier post regarding the definition of "white" in an integration of a city and it's suburbs ) ---hmmm

from --Police Unions, Others Blast De Blasio After Shooting Deaths Of Two NYPD Cops --- http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2014/12/20/ ... nypd-cops/

from the comment section, note the names ---

The dead cops were
1 hispanic
2 asian

No whites, but you are right , Hispanics, Asians and Whites now have to team up and fight the supporters of the blacks.
