Media of 1942 and 2022

I am thinking of the media of the past and current 4Ts.
1942 the media was radio and the futuristic emerging technology was television.
2022 the media is social media and the emerging futuristic technology is augmented reality.
Any other parallels you see?

What will be interesting is the number of people that eschew ongoing tech. I have read a few articles on flip phones making a comeback. If the west doesn't have more authoritarian measures on checking female hypergamy, they will die out (european heritage people will at least).
