I really have to laugh at this. I won't say that you're a troll or an
idiot, but I will say that you're delusional. Exactly what charity
are you referring to? Please tell me. Keep in mind that I have
regular doctors appointments, I take seven prescription drugs every
day, I need computer equipment, and I need cable tv and internet
access if I'm going to continue maintaining these web sites, which I
gather you want me to do. Since I can't get anyone to pay me to do
actual work, please tell me, dear Tom, the name of the fantasy charity
that will provide money for all of that. Also tell me what you mean
by "lower lifestyle," since I currently have zero entertainment
expenses, and all I do now is sit in front of my computer for 16 hours
a day, except when I have to go to the grocery store. I even use a
battery-operated haircutting device, so I won't have to pay a barber.
Which of my extravagant expenses would you like me to cut out for this
fantasy charity you're recommending?

Then with regard to Patreon, you claim I said "it's too much trouble."
I won't say that you're a troll or an idiot, but I will say that
you're lying, because you know that isn't true since you were involved
in that conversation. What I said was that I would certainly go to
the trouble, but it wouldn't make any money. I have years of
experience with this. I've written thousands of articles and several
books, and I've made zero money. Patreon would be the same.

You remember "JenXChick," don't you? She said I could make money with
Youtube or Patreon, and I asked her find someone to take
responsibility for getting subscribers. I would provide the content,
and we would share the money. She said that she would check with
several people, and get back to me. Well, she never got back to me.
Why do think that is, dear Tom? It's because she checked with those
other people and discovered that I'm right -- I could go to a lot of
trouble, but I wouldn't make any money.

Incidentally, that deal is still open. If someone wants to take
responsibility for getting subscribers, then I'll provide content and
we can share the money.

So then you conclude, "With this attitude no wonder you can't get a
job." This is kind of amusing, because in a sense this means that you
agree with me that I'm going to run out of money, and have no choice
except to go. However, I would point out that I've had the same
attitude my whole life, and the only thing that's different now is
that I'm older. But whether my "problem" is my age or my attitude,
the bottom line is exactly the same either way. And you don't have to
be "smarter than anyone else" to grasp that. So once again, I won't
say that you're a troll or an idiot, but I will say that you're
delusional.

It's much easier to run someone else's life than to run your own,
isn't it?

For cripes sake, John, let the web site die if you have to. I'll miss it, but that's not the point. The point is that you will be far better off living on the street than lying in a coffin, even if you are not a Catholic and do not believe suicide is a one way ticket to Hell.
Thousands survived the Shoah and did not commit suicide. Millions of people are emaciated skeletons in Africa and do not commit suicide. Billions of people have lived in destitution, or been scarred by smallpox, or have had other horrors in their lives and did not commit suicide.
Forget computer connection, you lived half your life without it. Go to a Church, or a homeless shelter, or Social Services. Do something besides being a coward and ending it all forever.

Note: There is something wrong with the connection right now...it keeps timing out, and I cannot sign in. I was lucky to post as a guest,

What's the point? You want me to go through hell to be miserable, in
pain, and worthless just to keep you happy? This is about me, not
about you. And I have ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE to continue living under
those conditions. Period.

By the way, you never answered the question about whether you or you
mother signed a DNR for your father when he was dying of cancer. Or
did you just let both of your parents suffer for as long a period of
time as possible, just to keep you happy? Did the hospital use extra
pain killers to hasten death? Just wondering if you practice what you
preach.

The web site host, Newtek, seems to have a lot of problems, and the
forum was down much of the last two hours, but it seems to be up now.

You know, your last message really pissed me off. I thought maybe
what was bothering you was that the forum would go away, but now it
turns out that you don't even give a shit about the forum. Quelle
surprise! Without the forum you and I wouldn't even be in contact, so
you'd be happy as a lark knowing that you did your duty to God and the
Catholic Church by sending me out into the street to beg, and since
we'd no long have contact, you wouldn't even know how it turned out.
You don't care about anything except some idea about how other people
should live their lives. Is it too late for you to become dictator of
some country? Maybe you can make a lot of other people miserable too.

My mother died of cancer in 1968. No my father did not sign any such order. My father died of Alzheimer's in 2005 (actually, he died of C. diff, but the reason he got it was because he was in a nursing home with AD). No, I did not sign any such order. Yes, I practice what I preach.
You know, John, I cared about you a lot more than I cared about this site. But I see you are just an arrogant and prideful jerk who would not stoop to a minimum wage job, which you could get if you got off your high horse. I have Asperger's so I know about having problems getting work, and am currently on disability for it. But I earned 2 Bachelor's degrees and ended up working for minimum wage plus a few cents at a group home which was practically a no security insane asylum. But I was not too full of myself to take the job, and my boss was one of the best friends of my life. I would still be there if it had not gone out of business in 2010.
You know, your response pisses me off. I am no dictator trying to run your life, I am someone trying to save it. But if you don't give a damn about yourself, then I abdicate as your "dictator".
I will leave it up to the others here...am I wrong to try to keep John from Damnation?

Look Tom, I'm sorry I offended you, and thank you for looking after my
"eternal soul." You're considerably younger than I am, and you're
physically capable of things that I'm not. If I were your age I would
consider the things you suggest. But at my age, there's no point and
no desire. Maybe I'll get "lucky" and develop cancer, so I can refuse
treatment, which would make things simpler. My mind is made up, and
yelling at me is not going to change it. Thank you for your concern.

Thank you for your continued efforts.

When did you offer advice that I treated contemptuously?
When someone says you could live a lower standard lifestyle or take charity you say you don't wanna. When someone says you could set up Patreon or some other fund raising source you say it's too much trouble. You keep saying you're smarter than anyone else, and always knew they were going to create disasters. Anyone who disagrees with your analysis is a troll or an idiot. With this attitude no wonder you can't get a job.

I've learned plenty over the years with occasionally checking in to your daily news of sorts.
I have a new baby so not much money to share.
I have appreciated the insights offered, thank you.
I used to be more desperate in my outlook.
Less internet and more meditation brought my mind closer aligned with reality, that which transcends time.
Now I'm not too worried about my babies future although I am planning for it.
I wonder, where is a good location to increase survival chance as we draw nearer to the great conflicts and collapse? I read sometime past the southern hemisphere might be less affected by radioactive fallout because wind patterns don't cross the equator much?

<chuckle, chuckle chuckle..!>

Actually, it's just "The Girl's Boxing Team", but there is a self-identifying sub-team of transgendered girls called "The Pink Y's" who, due to the school's free speech and freedom of association policies, cannot be denied the use of their self designated non-hate-based name.

..the sub-team's super cute angora mohair sweater's logo.
