You asked for it, you got it.
Just a small start.

This one was interesting if one sided. The basic theme was advocating book banning for cultures other than the speakers own. His conclusion was the opposite of several encountered through Wiki. It presented one viewpoint of many by a congressional panel. Without reading the book I can't recreate a First Amendment argument, so I can only judge the speaker by his absurd debating style.

He started out by quoting the books out of context. In these books, you present what can go wrong as well as what can go right. He used what could go wrong to present the books as porn. This representation was the opposite of the other reviews I encountered. He then asked how the censorship problem could be solved, and spoke over the other speaker when he tried to answer, preventing the answer from being given, asking a new question before the old was answered, switching the targets of the new question to prevent the first from answering, and otherwise pretending that because he would not allow a question to be answered it could not be answered.

The biggest takeaway was to reinforce my support of Biden over this clown. If he was seriously interested in exotic sexuality and the First Amendment, he would allow people to describe how the problem is being addressed so he could tweak it.

Criminal Conservatives?

Imagine a world without this excuse for bad behavior:

"He should be free to commit crimes because he (or his kind) suffered injustice."

Could we even have Leftism without this argument?
From my position, yes. Leftism removes flaws from cultures. Things like colonial imperialism, slavery and containment were from progressive pushes to remove flaws. This time around it is bigots, criminals in high office and religious fanatics forcing doctrine on others. In each, the conservative faction wanted to continue to exploit the flaws.

Leftists advocate rule of law rather the crimes. Hey, Trump is accuse of 91 felonies? If you aren't for criminality you may loose your position as a conservative.

McConnell gone?

Post by Bob Butler »

Mitch McConnell is apparently yielding the Senate leadership position. I thought 2024 would see a major rewrite to the Republican Party, but I didn't expect a new leadership. Will the replacement be MAGA?

George Friedman (of STRATFOR) was interviewed 2-3 weeksw ago on YouTube and said that Israel had reached the end of the line. Friedman was surprisingly indiffrent towrds the country's fate. He said israel was not invicincible and that Hamas had suckered punched it on many occasions. He also said that the brutality in Gaza would leave Israel permantely isolated in the Middle East. He said that his Israeli friends were applying for visas to move to the United States.

I think this has always been Israel's eventually fate--the last European colony in the third world.

With Europe wrtecked by third world immigration, i suppose they will go to the US, but we have been ruined by open borders too.

You still don't understand the connections, do you. Amazing at this point the denial after the global communists came here to ruin us, and through the dual citizens, who do that everywhere they go. All part of the plan, whether they have highest of the "higher ups" or not.

Speaking of Hollywood hating ...

The Bloomberg News documentary about Bukele is, by far and away, the most ridiculous thing I have watched in a long time.

They spend most of the documentary wanting you to feel bad for gang members being held in prison cells.

They try very hard to make you feel sympathy for the child rapists and granny murderers who are cold at night or don't get their medications on time.

Apparently the gang members who made El Salvador the most violent country in the world get beaten sometimes!

Bloomberg also pushes the ridiculous claim that El Slavadorans are afraid of Bukele's security state. They say they are "just as afraid" as they were of the gangs.

Never mind that Bukele has a 92% approval rating (according to Western institutions like Gallup) and won the recent election with 85% of the vote.

What is really going on here is that a bunch of liberalism's most ardent proponents cannot stand that an anti-liberal regime has done in three years what they could not in decades.

You do not need liberalism, let alone post-war liberal institutions, to be prosperous and free.

The reason I have such a fascination with Bukele is because he is a very strong example of how a state totally steeped in the postwar liberal nonsense can turn itself around so quickly and how its population will react (very positively).

The ruling class should really just take the L on this and stop making themselves seem like ghouls who love mass murderers.

The goofy Western journalist asked one government official how they were going to rehabilitate the prisoners and the official had a great answer:

These men get three options: prison, the hospital, or death. There is no fourth rehabilitation option.

A rediscovery has been made which the West forgot living under liberalism. There is no rehabilitation.

You lock people up to keep the public safe, not to help the criminal.

I do not care that these tattooed cartel gangsters get beaten in a cold prison cell.

Better them than some woman walking to the market.

And one last thing to ponder: El Salvador now has a murder rate on par with Luxembourg.

2 orders magnitude?

This had me wondering. I looked up murder rates by nation. El Salvador was listed as #1 at 52.02 per 10K population. Luxembourg is at #188 of 196 at 0.32. The United States by comparison is #76 at 4.96. Your statement is correct if you assume 'on par' accepts a couple of orders of magnitude delta in a rather meaningless envelope.

I assume your other statements are as accurate?
