Thanks for the correction. I copied that sentence from the article I
was referencing. Here's the paragraph from the article:

Dear John,

Burma is on the east cost of the Bengali Gulf (you probably had Pakistan in mind when writing : it is on the eastern cost of the Arabian Sea).
