I've heard stories on Alexis Tsipras' comments as saying he wanted to not perform austerity measures. My comment is why people are not questioning why banks are directing who get's elected for a country? :x The population elects people irregardless of what company's desire. If the new president want to scrap a agreed policy set by past president is their right. Treaty's with other country's can also be scrapped if desired. By saying the banks dictate how a government says/does means that the Greek prez is a corporate puppet and the Greek government has no sovereignty.

I have also heard in regards to Greece's financial past, that they have been in financial straits many times in the past 150 years. What is going on recently is nothing new.
