Much as I hate to say it, I think intervening in Syria would make things worse. The way things are now, it wouldn't take much to trigger a widespread Middle Eastern war.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Turkey and Greece are going to be at war with one another yet again during the Clash of Civilizations. After all, both countries are currently in a Fifth Turning.
