Start small, just a little bit at a time, a little bit of dry food, some extra canned goods, a box or two of ammo two or three times a year; finish a 2 liter soda don't throw the bottle away, refill it with water and toss it it under the bed - nothing crazy, just a little at a time; there is a buying guide in the Nuke Guide (section #7) buy one or two items a month and salt them away. Over the months you will become informed, and stocked - information is crucial, you feel helpless because we've been told since 1989, the fall of the Soviet Union, that there will never ever be another bad guy. That wasn't reality, there are always bad guys, but a strong America put fear into their hearts; somebody elected a guy who thought America was a bad actor, so he proceeded to make America weak - we are now seeing the outcome of that kind of ignorance, and stupidity.
