Do you really think Putin will save you?

The problem with Generational Dynamics is that you get stuck in your own dogma: you refuse to reconsider things.

Why must America sell out its own allies to win the [i]very brief [/i]support of a pack of 4th rate Russian thugs who will inevitably stab everyone in the back at first opportunity?

America backed the Afghans against the Soviets and the Contras in Central America. Reagan waged proxy wars all over the globe against the Russians. I remember him pulling out of Lebanon, but I wonder if that was more about congressional opposition than his own volition?
Reagan knew how to use hard and soft power.

Reagan made mistakes: Iran-Contra. But at least he didn't just fold up. Obama doesn't seem to really want to do anything about anything, except for start a race war in the United States.

The rift between Turkey and Russia goes back several hundred years as you may know. However, Turkey has aided ISIS by not allowing US air missions to use Turkish airspace, they are largely Sunni, and they want our Kurdish allies destroyed, or at least not encouraged, in both Syria and Turkey.

Are you sure Turkey is on our side? Turkey is not so sure itself me thinks. In the long run, Iran may be a better ally than Turkey in the fight against ISIS. And in time Russia will come more fully on board as well. It certainly is no "time to break Putin's jaw" especially with such a weak fool in the oval office.

I see your point, and you're probably right.

But I still think of that old Abraham Lincoln quote:

There's really no evidence I'm aware of to support this.

Take a look at what Reagan did when Iran / Hezbollah blew up a US
Marine compound in Beirut, killing 220 Marines and 21 other service
personnel on October 23, 1983. Reagan simply withdrew US forces after
promising that he wouldn't.

Cutting off electricity to the Crimea should only be the beginning. Cut off electricity and water to the Donbas. Also, cancel all money transfers and postal deliveries to rebel areas.

Next, cancel SWIFT banking transactions for Russia and [b]seize [/b] Russian assets belonging to Putin cronies in the West, including the Premier League football teams. Cancel visas for all the Oligarch's(major and minor ones) wives and children. Kick them out of Harrow.

Sound harsh? No it's not. If Ronald Reagan were President, this would already have been done. With Obama, we'll be lucky if doesn't surrender the country on Christmas Day to the Russians or the Mexicans. Maybe he already has?

Russia has been asking for it: constantly violating European airspace and territorial waters. Putin kept pushing until it snapped. We'll, now it's snapped. The next time Putin flies into Poland, shoot down the plane.
