Autocrats fleeing hastily assembled pseudo-democratic governments assembled on the heels of "heroic" (young, full of piss-and-vinegar) uprisings, inevitably followed by deadly military response and chaos, yes, Spanish Civil War redux does spring to mind, interesting that Gadaffi should mention Franco. He has it backward however, Gadaffi is a cross between King Alfonso and President Asana. Tunisia is Morocco; Egypt plays Italy. Still casting for USSR, Germany, etc.
