On the one hand, they're upset, but on the other, they're already concocting conspiracy theories (that's what happens when the government doesn't immediately address a crisis like this) about how the US was involved or the ship was old, dangerous, not seaworthy and should never have been in use. Therefore, the government must be covering up what really happened.

Overall it seems that most Koreans (other than those that lost family and friends in the sinking) don't care. They're so used to stuff like this and the "threat" that the "threat" doesn't seem real to them any more.

Knowing how Koreans are though, that can change on a dime if the government comes out and presents clear evidence it was the north. Then the masses just might start yelling for retaliation.

The Cheonan was raised a couple of days ago. Here are some links to a couple of blogs and news reports on the incident. I do a lot of business with Korea's defense industry so I've been following this story closely.

It's pretty much assumed that, no-matter-what, the ROK will not do anything. Lee Myung-Bak (LMB) is hosting the G20 in November and he will not do anything to disrupt that meeting as that will be his time to shine and if they're in a war with norK, the summit will be moved. His political / world stage ambitions are important to him.
