The returns to Turkey are exactly what's needed to stem the flow. Australia's policy is proof that works, 100% effectively. We had the same naysayers whose solution was to do nothing, and allow endless death and suffering to continue, not to mention compromising our national security and the rights of genuine refugees and immigrants.

As for Europe's associated political problems, well that's another story.
