Re: Financial topics

Karl Denninger commenting on his predictions for 2009: Ok, so where did I go wrong? That's pretty simple: I dramatically underestimated the willingness and ability of "the criminal class" (that would be those in DC and on Wall Street) to lie, cheat, steal, paper over insolvency and get away with it ...

Re: Financial topics

Richard Russell recently asked the question of what would happen if the US suddenly decided to revalue its gold from $41 an ounce to say, $5500 an ounce? That might solve our debt problem and would even keep China happy. Could it be that China and the US are in collusion on this? ...just a thought,...

Re: Financial topics

Just for a laugh, in the Half Past Human report (mentioned in my above comments) they talk about a scam involving gold plated Tungsten bars sold as solid gold. I can't remember where, but in the last week, I have read more then one commentator saying that there may be fake gold bars out there... Wh...

Re: Financial topics

I know I keep saying this, but the insanity keeps getting worse every day. How can these people be more insane every day than they were the day before? John They are unable to think beyond their horizon, as GD points out. It certainly is amazing... You really have to keep your head on straight to n...

Bill Moyers tonight on PBS: http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/12112009/profile2.html Indicates growing unrest against the banks and an interview with Howard Zinn... Re: Financial topics

It seems to me that a higher potential for a panic selloff in the stock market exists at present than has existed at any time this year. Almost every bearish advisor or blogger that I read is looking for "one more wave up", or a "Santa Claus rally", etc., then the long awaited move down. I don't se...

Re: Financial topics

How can one make intelligent decisions based on false information? And yes, we also need a major spiritual /consciousness awaking -- things can't go on as they are. I feel in the paradigm shift we are talking about thinking will become more intuitive and less scientific. Science can be a burden to ...

Re: Financial topics

As Gerrald Celente Says, "When people lose everything, they lose it." I think things could get very ugly. When I think about the magnitude of change necessary in so many different areas -- financial, monetary, food production, health care, climate, military, energy, water supply, etc., etc., I am co...

Re: Financial topics

It looks like a few of you who have been short are still hanging on. Am still short via 2X inverse index fund. Currently down about 16% -- this is money initially allocated for speculation... so... Will not bail now, I don't want to miss the big move down, which I feel certain will come -- the ques...
