If the Philippines and the U.S. were serious about protecting Philippine territorial waters from China they would build a serious of small air force bases around the various Phillipine islands protected by large garrisons of Phillippine troops and capable of providing underground shelters for U.S. A...

Re: 9-May-12 World View -- Greece returns to full fiscal cri

This South China Sea mess looks a lot more serious than Greece. I can't see the US allowing a Chinese attack on the Phillipines. Maybe the Mayan Calendar is right on schedule? China is carrying out aggression by Oil Drilling Rig. The threats of military action are just designed to lay the ground wo...

Not to mention what that default can do to the others, namely accelerate their collapse as well. A greek default Europe can survive; they can probably survive Portugal as well, although it would still drive them back into recession. Italy or Spain, on the other hand... that would be enough to destr...

Re: 10-Feb-12 World View -- Negotiators in Greece fail again

It appears the mostly likely Greek outcome here is the same that happened with German debt between 1925 and 1935.

Re: 10-Feb-12 World View -- Negotiators in Greece fail again

So how might this go if the kick the can down the road prediction is followed: Greece votes to make future cuts, bond holders agree to take 70% hair cut, political leaders sign pledge, bail out payment made, elections held, a different leader and/or party is elected ( other than one of the three lea...

There is much truth in the Generational Dynamics model. But I believe there is another change that does not follow a three generation cycle, because it is too young. Automation of corporate and other large organizational structures. A human system of corporate knowledge, records and "morality" exist...

Re: 13-Nov-11 WV-Clashes escalate among Libya's tribal milit

One would like to see all 22 of the U.S. Stealth bombers rain down 2,000 LB bombs on the Ayatollahs, the leadership of Iran, and the leadership of Iranian Revolutionary Guard. These precision guided, independently guided, bombs would allow the U.S to hit hundreds of leadership homes and offices at t...

One might find the Philippines asking the U.S. to reestablish a Navy base in their country.

Obama would, of course, find an excuse not to.

Apparently the new Prime Minister is not a member of the Parliament so the people can not vote him out.

Just the kind of Leader the non-Greek leaders of Europe wanted.
