How will the role of America be altered and sustained once this crisis finally plays out?
Will the US still be the policeman of the World?
Will it be a power along others?
Will the US be isolationist?
Will the US be more a dependency?
Millennials emerge in charge of the new era?

What do you mean by "this crisis finally plays out"?Alosito79 wrote:How will the role of America be altered and sustained once this crisis finally plays out?
The "crisis" (genocidal war) will be "over" when both sides are disgusted by what they and the other side have done, and actively pressure the winner's "ruling elite" to ensure that that disgusting behavior, and any other behavior that might lead up to it, is severely repressed and outlawed.
But first, the "patriotic" part of the war has to start. Then the "annoyingly dragging on" part. Then the "very disillusioned" part. Then the "panicky existential fear" part. Then the "win at any cost" part. Then the "euphoria of winning inhuman-ly" part. Then the "relieved at winning" part. Then the "OMG what have we done" part.
Hopefully, each of those parts will be progressed through extremely quickly, but a few of them are HIGHLY likely to get "stuck" in for entirely too long.
Yes. No one else wants the job. And by "no one" I mean the US as well. But it's gotta be done! Will the US still be the policeman of the World?
Of course, as "The West" will be the "winner", and not the US.Will it be a power along others?
We are always isolationist. We never stop being isolationist. We really LIKE being a huge island. Will the US be isolationist?
No. We will HAVE a shitload of dependencies, though. Will the US be more a dependency?
Those who "won the war" will be in charge, and they won't be "millennials" per se, but whatever their ages, they will be the new Greatest Generation, and will have utterly lost their "millennial-ness" back during the "regeneration" time when the country abjectly unites to ensure survival in combating the existential threat that is the "enemy".Millennials emerge in charge of the new era?
..my opinion, obviously. Contest away gangies..!!
