Rights cover the ability of individuals to do specific things, such as worship your own way, speak freely, or carry a weapon. Forget the will of the majority if such is involved. The word is used by some to indicate a feeling that they should always get their way. In discussing how the will of the majority is checked by the rights of the people, the understanding of what a right is is important. Cool Breeze seems to be claiming he should get his way when no traditional right is involved.

ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we've been wondering what the scenario would be that would lead from this war to world War iii.

it now appears that an escalating war between Armenia and Azerbaijan maybe a step along that scenario.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at War for some 30 years over Armenians occupation of nardano karabak, which is an unclave within Azerbaijan.

Armenia is a client of russia, and Azerbaijan is a client of turkey. both countries are former Soviet republics.

Russia negotiated a ceasefire between the two countries two years ago, with the cooperation of Turkey and the United states. Russia sought to guarantee the cease fire by supplying troops to separate the two fighting armies.

however, Russia removed those troops and sent them to Ukraine months ago, as its Ukrainian invasion began to lose steam. and so a new war between Armenia and Azerbaijan started this week.

there is widespread international concern that the fighting well escalate into a wider War involving other countries, and so both turkey and Russia are urging constraint.

however, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are growing more bitter and belligerent every day, and as we know, turkey and Russia are historic enemies.

so the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan is one more dangerous unknown in the world today.

Life comes at you fast: pundits on Russian TV realize that their military is failing and their country is in trouble. They are starting to play the blame game. Some of them finally understand that their genocidal denial of the Ukrainian identity isn't working in Russia's favor.

The latest Department of Homeland Security reports tell us that some 1.74 million illegal immigrants have been encountered by US officials as of June 2022. This number is staggering in itself, and should worry any White American concerned with the demographic composition of his nation, but terrifyingly this is far from the full picture.

The US government estimates that it encounters roughly 43% of all persons who illegally cross the border in a given year. With this in mind and taking into account the number given above by DHS, this means that so far in 2022 just over 4 million people are likely to have entered the United States at this point in the year.

A number which, if current rates of crossings continue, will surpass 6 million by December.

By the end of 2022, Alejandro Mayorkas, the man who runs DHS, will have permitted the entry of a population, composed mostly central American and Black Haitian persons, which is comparable to the populations of Wisconsin and Missouri.

Partisan politics plays little role in this. With the Trump administration having seen far more illegal immigration than the previous Obama administration. Infact, the start of the current rush at the border began under Trump and was only temporarily stemmed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is clear neither major party has the slightest bit of interest in dealing with this problem and a new party, a new government, is needed in the United States.

Given Putin's early brag about low casualties, I found this bit very interesting:
There were no Russian Armed Forces in those settlements: only Rosgvardia, and these are not trained to fight military forces. Kiev attacked with an advantage of around 5 to 1. The allied forces retreated to avoid encirclement. There are no Russian troop losses because there were no Russian troops in the region.
