50MM unemployed, millions more trying to file, and tens of millions still "working" with major drops in their pay. I'm technically still employed but so far this year my income is down 90%.

I cannot imagine the social unrest that will follow! Hungry people with a completely armed Nation. Frustrated angry hungry people. Food riots and deaths with the Dow at an all-time high coming to a neighborhood near you!

Have to agree with you guys. Americans have been incredibly compliant with govt. orders, to the extent super-bad-ass tough murderous gang bangers in the most dangerous hoods have all complied like meek lambs. There have been no riots whatsoever, only a few small protests. Hardly anyone taking advantage of closed businesses, trying to break in, etc. Very very few incidents of that. Mostly just a docile, compliant public.

Wishful thinking---- yes some (not all) preppers start salivating whenever even the smallest hint of chaos appears, so they can test their cool gear and camp-at-home for a few days. All kinds of proclamation like: "This is it folks! This is the big one, the real deal...MONUMENTAL SHTF!"

I know that we have been locked up to "flatten the curve", which means we are giving the Health Care establishment time to get all of the stuff they need but didn't have, give some time to develop a cure (if possible), and to reduce the strain on hospitals.

This was obviously needed in New York City and environs, but it was mostly overkill for the rest.

Check out the graphs in the article from the Mises Institute (an economic think tank)
https://mises.org/power-market/excess-d ... ork-totals

This is what the national death rate was, per week for the 1st fourteen weeks of the year. This certainly did not warrant shutting down the entire country.

I think we are facing conditions created by three things: staggering incompetence, vile power hungry nutters actively trying to corrupt the system, and the general tendency of systems to become sclerotic and self-defeating.

Time for a major reset. I hope we can survive this...

Trump blames China for outbreak?!!!!!!!!!

All the intelligence agencies and experts have been inconclusive except the world's top Idiot in chief and the orange oaf claims he has evidence. Dumb bitch. Why would he start with his fucked up response the crisis from the very beginning and his incompetence lost more than 60,000 lives whereas the Wuhan had only about couple of thousands!
