From today's Daily Telegraph (UK)

China sends record number of warplanes into Taiwan's defence zone for second day running
Beijing sent one more plane to buzz Taiwan amid increasing pressure for it to accept Chinese rule
Taiwan says it is an independent country and will defend its freedom and democracy

I doubt we will make it to Christmas...
I were North Korea and China, I would grab South Korea and Taiwan now. Perfect opportunity when Biden is still licking his wounds from Afghanistan.

I have written a lot about my time in the war. Look it up. Listen to me or don't. It's your choice. But I speak from harsh experience. And unlike the drama queens on this board, I will tell you what to really expect.

Where have you written about it?
There's been a "guest' with some good posts. But without a name it's kind of awkward to refer to previous posts and suggest looking it up. The posts have been valuable and this last one very helpful. Thank you and post more often if you have the chance, please.

Search for "Chechnya" on the boards.

Taiwanese Foreign Minister warns his country is preparing for war with China, asks Australia for help
Christmas looks like it will be cancelled this year.

Halloween isn't looking too likely either.

Best hope is that China waits till after the Winter Olympics.

The problem for most people is that they think that they will be able to convert whatever currency or precious metal or bitcoin to whatever product or service they will need/want in the future. This is thinking that things in the future will somehow be the similar to the way they are today.

The problem is that goods, commodities, and even many services will not be available at ANY price (and with any kind of currency) for extended periods because of disruptions to production and the supply chain. This is already happening, and it is happening BEFORE an economic meltdown or a major war.

The book goes into all of this in detail. GET A COPY.
I completely agree with you. Your book is an extremely valuable survival tool. Whatever can be bartered is money in a collapsed world. Also, coins will be more valuable in terms of what it is made of, especially nickels, silver dimes and quarters. But this has not been stressed enough - in a collapse, your mental state will be under attack. Prepare your emotions, your faith, your resolve. It is one thing to talk about it here; it is quite another to live through it.
I survived the seige of Grozny and the war in Chechnya and another war before that. I know what you are talking about. There is no way to prepare mentally. You either will survive psychologically or you will not. I have seen experienced fighters crack under the stress of prolonged combat. Everyone has their limits. Some people cannot endure even a minute of distress on this level. I have seen that too.

My advice? Faith in God above all else.

If you doubt that or have to ask me what I mean, you are already at a disadvantage.

Are you able (willing) to point us toward some of your writings?

Faith above all is what will get us through what is coming. Myy faith is strong, but I too have seen enough of war to know it's effect and to know that for many, their faith WILL waiver. When it does, we must look to God for comfort and know that He is Lord.

I believe my faith is strong.
But that is easy for me to say. I have led an extremely sheltered life. I don’t know what I would do in a Storm.

Yes, we'll never know until it happens. You can guess the people that have a greater likelihood of being survivors, though, especially since faith is so uncommon these days. The other issue is that we have had such great/efficient/easy times recently, it makes it even harder for the "westerner" across the board.

I hear you, but I've been through enough hell to have my faith tested and strengthened.

Getting through the storm will never be possible through our own strength; hence the need to strengthen faith.
