G.W. Bush began the purge of the officer corps, Obama accelerated it, and now we have this.

Our own FBI compiles data that show that blacks commit over half of all homicides and nearly all of the violent crimes in the USA, yet their is no media headline about "black rage" or terrorism. Interesting.

This offends me greatly to see military doing this. I waited until the morning after seeing this last night. And I'd like some perspective. If Navigator could comment I'd much appreciate it.

to report what the Democrats tell them to report, had a segment a
couple of days ago about the Maricopa Country Colorado audit -- which
incidentally is nearing completion. The BBC report was close to
hysteria, loaded with accusations of racism, conspiracy theories, and
so forth. The Democrats are scared to death of these audits, because
the audits are uncovering massive election fraud by the Democrats in a
number of states.

I have to go back and partially temper my criticism of the BBC at the
beginning of this article. Yesterday, as Kamala Harris made that
super-farcical trip to El Paso but was nowhere near the the border,
the BBC World News TV service ran another lengthy segment on the
massive child abuse of thousands of children by the Biden
administration at the southern border.

Thousands of children are being crammed into "iceboxes" where they
have no chance to shower, they endure sexual abuse, they sleep on top
of each other for warmth, and spread lice, scabies, covid, and other
diseases. The Democrats couldn't care less about the suffering of
these thousands of children, just as they couldn't care less about the
Chinese Communist torture, rape and enslavement of millions of
Uighurs. However, the Biden administration child abuse is apparently
too much for at least one department at the BBC.

I was able to watch it because it magically appeared one day when I
was watching the BBC World News channel on cable. I almost shut it
off until I realized how important it was. Fortunately, I record most
things that I watch, and so I was recording this when it came on. And
instead of deleting my recording, which I usually do, I kept this one.

The press is already declaring the Miami apartment collapse a result of climate change. Some outlets ask the question; others have declared it outright. I guess Red State Florida will have to be cancelled...

The Miami Building Collapse Is a Warning
Waiting to trace the exact lines of causation misses the point.

Virtually every day in America there is a new Reichstag fire.

You can safely assume that at least 50% of the other buildings along the strip are also dangerous, if the city did the right thing and condemned all the buildings, do you think the people would cheer ?

Everybody wants it cheap, and cheap high rise buildings built on a swamp are always going to be dangerous. The people are as guilty as the officials.

The original owners and builders will be limited liability companies, and those companies would be sold to new owners, and the defective building sold to others. The inspectors will have covered themselves with reports recommending action.

The US has been pulling these stunts for hundreds of years, everybody knows how to play the system

I know of three condo buildings in danger of collapse. I know a dozen people who know of more. All in Florida.

After Hurricane Andrew in 1992, a friend of mine went south to work construction. He said the Everglades were covered in sheets of plywood that had only four nails in them. That's right. The houses were put together using only four nails per sheet. That's far from code. How did the contractors get away with it? Bribes. Florida is corrupt as hell, and everyone knows it.

I guess this one won't be so easy to ignore.

Unless they can blame it on Climate Change.

It has been my experience as a builder that concrete spalling is often the result of pouring the concrete in wet or rainy conditions, preventing the concrete from "setting up" normally. Full curing, a chemical process, takes up to 28 days but the first few hours are critical when it comes to rain. Wet concrete when diluted with water does not cure properly allowing it to weaken and crumble over time. Once the concrete has hardened to the point of not being affected by rain, rain becomes its friend as it keeps the hardening concrete moist during the remaining curing period.

If site prep and construction were completed per approved plans and accepted standards then building would still be standing. Licensed engineers sign off on the plans then municipal building departments approve the plans. Their inspectors are then tasked with ensuring compliance with the plans and the current building code. Something in this chain of responsibility likely broke and my suspicion is with the quality of the concrete are the method/conditions under which is was poured. Spalling (crumbling) does not normally occur in properly poured and cured concrete.

Steel rebar entombed in properly poured concrete is not subject to corrosion. Spalling of the concrete is the equivalent of the concrete corroding (crumbling) exposing rebar to environmental corrosion.

The building was having foundation problems as early as the 1990s. From the looks of it, it appears to be a disaster decades in the making.
