Harry Reid, the Democratic Senate Leader, has given John Kerry the green light to relax or remove sanctions on Iran.
Reid has promised Kerry he will use his power as Senate Leader to block any bipartisan bill from being voted on in the Senate that would in anyway prevent Kerry from dropping sanctions on Iran without a vote of the U.S. Congress.
Bipartisan support exists in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate to block any relaxing of sanctions on Iran until after Iran has dismantled their uranium enrichment program.
Kerry had attempted to convince key influential Senators and Congressmen to give him flexibility to negotiate away sanctions on any terms he, Kerry, wanted. Kerry failed in that. But now Harry Reid, has vowed to block Congress from even expressing an opinion on the subject, and Kerry is under pressure to conclude the U.S. surrender to Iran as soon as possible.
Reid's promise leaves Kerry free to begin dismantling sanctions on Iran, without Iran even agreeing to dismantle Iran's Uranium enrichment program, let alone Iran actually taking steps to dismantle it.
Obama and Kerry are desperate to sign a piece of paper with Iran. Any piece of paper. All that is left is for Iran to decide what it is going to charge the U.S. for the privilege of capitulating to Iran.
Harry Reid, Democrat to Kerry: OK to capitulate to Iran
