Croatia tells EU to "Get Real" - Control Greek-Turkey Border

Post by Reality Check »

Croatia called the EU draft agreement ( the draft circulated before tomorrows emergency EU meeting ) unrealistic and called for the EU to get real, and to start enforcing border controls on the external EU borders - specifically: to stop the illegal immigrant flow at the Turkish-Greek border.

That border is between Turkish mainland in Asia, and the coastal Turkish Islands ( Greek territory ), just off the Turkish ( Asian ) coast in Asia. Greek Ocean going ferries are currently taking over 6,000 of these illegal aliens, every day, from Turkish Islands in Asia, across the huge Aegean Sea, to Europe where they cross from one European country, to another, as illegal aliens, until they reach the country they wish to live in.
U.S.A. Today Article, dated today, Saturday, 2015-10-24 wrote:Croatia's prime minister has criticized a draft agreement prepared for Sunday's EU-backed summit on the migrant crisis as "unrealistic."

Zoran Milanovic said Saturday the draft envisages that countries along the so-called Balkan corridor would not transfer migrants to a neighboring countries' border without first getting agreement.

Milanovic said: "That is impossible, whoever wrote this does not understand how things work and must have just woken up from a months-long sleep."

Milanovic says the only solution for the control of migrant influx lies at the border between Turkey and Greece, where migrants first enter EU. "Everything else is a waste of time," he says.

Leaders of Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia have been invited to the Brussels summit along with two non-members of the EU, Macedonia and Serbia.
