Keep in mind that a lot of us don't have NY Times subscriptions.

I have never had a paid subscription to the NY Times, either this content is free or they have a bug in their premium content enforcement mechanism.

At the time I posted and again today it appears to be freely available content.

As I understand it, the NY Times paywall limits each IP address to 10 articles per month.
So I avoid the NY Times web site like a plague, because every now and then there's an
article there that I HAVE to read, and I want to make sure that I haven't used up my
ten accesses. The result is that I rarely read more than one or two articles per month,
and often read none.
