Russian Troops dig in, on the Ukraine's mainland.
Russian troops have created a military front line, not on the Crimean peninsula, but instead on mainland Ukraine.
Russia now, not only holds the peninsula, but their troops also control both ends of the choke points leading from the peninsula, allowing Russia to move military convoys out of the peninsula and into the South Eastern mainland of Ukraine at will.
Coupled with the continuing build up of tens of thousands of Russian troops on the peninsula, and tens of thousands of Russian troops on the northern border of Eastern Ukraine, and more tens of thousands or Russian troops on the eastern land border of Eastern Ukraine; Russia's options for cutting off, and destroying the large portion of the Ukrainian military located on the third of the Ukrainian mainland east of the Dnieper river are rapidly expanding.
