When the unsustainable debt system finally goes kaput, this is pretty clear, as people have no clue how dangerous and fragile things are, and there will be no "solution" via fake money and printing as in 2008.FullMoon wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 1:01 amUltra liberal wokesters care not for science or the liberties of Americans, with their "mandates" and economic destruction. Elections will eliminate their mandates, much damage has been done sadly. Trust and faith shattered. What happens in a real emergency and nobody believes these shysters in suits, after all the lies and fabrications? Only a little bit of outside interference was necessary, as the locals seem quite happy to participate in our own degredation. We defeated the USSR without a hot war. Perhaps our fate will be the same?Navigator wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 11:11 pm
China's main ambition is to weaken and supplant (if not destroy) the US. They are doing everything they can to achieve this goal. This would of course include fostering and fomenting division and discord within the United States. Why wouldn't they?
I think they foster a lot of the conspiracy theories as well as the ultra liberal woke stuff. All of this is working remarkably well for them so far. Heck, shortly police departments and even the Armed Forces are going to see mass expulsions and obviously a corresponding degradation in their performance capabilities when it will matter most.

I'm skeptical of some of his positions using some of the same facts he brings up. The main being, even though some rearmament is taking place, most European countries are militarily weak. Germany couldn't fight off a reasonably aggressive Boy Scout troop while France can barely handle playing jihadist whack-a-mole in West Africa. And they're the big guns of the continent. This isn't 1914 or 1939 where individual European countries could reasonably consider world conquest."It’s not the era between the wars, however, that comes to mind most forcefully just now. It’s the Europe of the Belle Epoque, the last decades of the nineteenth century and the first of the twentieth: the last era when people of good will across the European subcontinent insisted that war was the outdated relic of an older and more barbarous time, that the treaty arrangements that had stayed in place since the last round of cataclysmic European wars would surely prevent anything of the kind from happening again, and that the close economic ties uniting the nations of Europe would stop any general European war in its tracks. They were wrong, and millions of people died because they were wrong. Their equivalents today will turn out to be just as wrong, because they’ve bought into the most pervasive fallacy of our time, the serenely foolhardy conviction that history has no lessons to teach, every shift in social conditions is permanent, and a pendulum can only swing in one direction.
...
I don’t think the next general European war is imminent, for what it’s worth. If things follow the usual pattern, there will be wars on the periphery first, most likely in the Balkans, while tensions build between the larger nations of the subcontinent. We still probably have some years left before alliances form, positions harden, military spending soars, and nations get locked into a collision course. My readers in Europe, however, might be well advised to look into how their recent ancestors survived the last few rounds of European bloodshed, and keep in mind that they or their children may have to repeat the same exercise. My readers in the United States, to the extent that they can spare the time from the convulsions of an imperial state in extremis, might be equally well advised to keep a wary eye on the other side of the Atlantic, and resist the temptation to get drawn into European quarrels. We’ll have quite enough to deal with over here."
I think a more reasonable concern will be a falling away from the imperial EU. Poland has decided that it doesn't want to go along with EU decisions on its courts. Hungary has its issues as well.
A bigger issue is that the US has turned its eye away from Europe. If there's trouble in the Balkans again, Europe can't count on the US to do the heavy lifting again. It has China to worry about.

** 04-Nov-2021 World View: Next European War
it's a historical analysis of all the major fault lines in Europe.
Over the years, we've had many discussions in this forum about how the
European countries might line up against each other in the next world
war. The "next European war" article doesn't answer the question, but
it highlights a number of possibilities.
One of the main possibilities is in the Balkans. The international
envoy, Christian Schmidt, was warning that the 1995 Dayton Peace
Agreement was unraveling and that it could lead to conflict. On
Wednesday, Russia blackmailed the other members of the UN Security
Council by refusing to renew the UN peacekeeping force for another
year unless Schmidt was removed, and the US and EU caved in to
Russia's veto threat. So, Serbia is taking steps to completely
undermine the 1995 Dayton agreement, with the support of Russia.

I had a small window into the situation in 2017, when I wrote an
article about the dispute over the name Macedonia. I was astounded
when my article resulted in a long-running stream of vitriolic
comments by the Macedonians, Greeks, Albanians and Bulgarians. the
comments went on for months.
At one point I asked whether there would be blood on the floor if they
were all in the same room together, but I never got a response. I
wrote about this in the following article:

As a side effect of my reading the article on the next European war,
I've become aware of the following Latin phrase from the Roman poet
Horace: "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori." It means, "It is
sweet and fitting to die for one’s country."

The book covers extensively what you need to do to prepare for this.
Preparation for what is coming is of the utmost importance at this time. Rather than considering what "investments" might be right for you, there are a number of things that you should be acquiring right now that you won't be able to buy for any price shortly.

We also have increasing solar storms which can knock out the electrical grid globally.Navigator wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 12:58 amIt seems there was another test attack on the power grid.

Grid goes down and everything goes down. And then Navigator's book is too late to read and prepare for.
Navigator, please if you would, list some of the things we should be acquiring immediately. Then maybe we can discuss the other stuff in the appropriate thread. Thanks!
Get the Book!
The details are in the book. I hope that you have a copy. For those that don't, its still available at $25. Which, BTW, would really help John, who maintains this board.FullMoon wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 10:54 amGrid goes down and everything goes down. Such a development would undoubtedly lead to a serious escalation of tensions in the region, and perhaps even, eventually, to a direct conflict between China and India.
Could this, and not Taiwan, be what leads to world war? Only time will tell.
