I'm hoping for a blast of light and then instant death.

That's what will happen, in a different way, when we are resurrected and judged (if alive, it'll be similar).

I am hoping for a warning so I can prepare my soul.

If China and the US go to war and nukes are launched, your survival depends entirely on your distance from military targets. A 5-megaton nuclear blast creates an immense fireball and catastrophic shockwaves. Areas near major military installations, IPO Index, command centers, Upcoming IPO, and missile silos would face instant destruction and lethal radiation. Fortunately, places far from these strategic zones would remain safe from the immediate blast. Rural areas or cities without a military presence would likely escape direct physical damage. However, long-term survival in those safe zones would still depend on avoiding radioactive fallout carried by the wind.
