But,.. I do agree with you that the "powers that be", be they "surveillance state" nationalists or "surveillance state" globalists, ARE setting up "their" societies to become "surveillance state totalitarian" societies.

The point: the polarity of the upcoming "war of governmental philosophies" is not Globalist-vs-Nationalist, but rather Totalitarian-vs-Republican (Res Publican).

The "Next/New World" that is post World War WILL, to a certainty, be "surveillance state" in nature. That is unavoidable. Our choice is whether it (either the world-state or the national state) is to be Totalitarian in governance, or Republican (Res Publican).

You, CH, are a totalitarian (and secondarily nationalistic). Do you REALLY want to be on that end of the stick?

Yes, you're absolutely right. China would no longer exist as a
nation, as you say, but would revert to one of its many historical
"warlord eras," where the country breaks up into regions, with each
one governed by a separate warlord.

I don't recall the name, but one of your ex-military posters with his own website says that the world will be governed by brutal dictators after WW3. Makes sense. I hope I don't survive to see that.

I do hope it's not that rather overused acid-yellow-green colored radioactive glow. The light blue, or even nice warm amber color would be my preference.

..of course (were I still in California during that time) I'd be enjoying whichever hue would be "in vogue" myself as well.

** 25-Jun-2019 Lunch with Shoshin

I'd like to thank forum member Shoshin for taking me out to lunch
today at the Legal Seafoods restaurant in Kendall Square, Cambridge.

Shoshin is an old friend, and a liberal. He started out the lunch in
a cheerful mood, but after listening to me talk about China, Japan,
the Mideast, and other international topics, he became extremely
depressed and left the restaurant in a very glum mood.

So if you see Shoshin today, please pat him on the back and try to
cheer him up.

And thanks again to Shoshin for buying me a very delightful trout
lunch.
