Xi continued by saying that "History is the best textbook so we should take history as a mirror and let it guide the future."

The world expects that China and the United States will properly handle their relationship and for our meeting it has attracted the world's attention."

I can't recall seeing the Chinese leader ever with such a big and happy smile while greeting Biden. Looking back at history, how can we expect it to mirror future Sino-US relations as Xi is eluding to?

but I think a large deflationary
Recession is fairly likely in 2023 .

So in 2023 , some of the things that
might happen are a wider European war,
War between Iran and Saudi Arabia or
between Pakistan and India, or a Chinese
invasion Of Taiwan.
How bad will the economy get? Will there be social unrest?

Today, Joe Biden announced that China
has no plans to invade Taiwan in the
near future. Where did Biden get that
information or how did he reach that
conclusion? Is that something that she
Jinping told him during their three hour
face to face meeting ?

If so, then it is worth remembering that
in 2015, she Jinping told President
Obama, in a face to face meeting, that
China had no plans to militarize the
South China Sea. At that time, China was
already actively militarizing the South
China Sea. This is where experience
shows that any promise that the Chinese
Communist make is completely worthless.

And so, Biden claims that a Chinese
invasion of Taiwan is not imminent ,
presumably because that's what she
Jinping said. All that that means is
that the Chinese Communist may invade
tomorrow, next week, next month, next
year, or five years from now. All we
know for certain is that the Chinese
Communistz will, at some point, invade
Taiwan because they've said so
repeatedly that they would.

That's a great observation! And you're
right, Biden saying that China will not
invade Taiwan in the near future is
exactly the same strategy and intent as
Chamberlain predicting peace in our
time.

I'm not sure about the Taiwan strategy, everyone knows it's as destructive and suicidal as Russia's Ukraine debacle. They might choose lower hanging fruit and it's possible Biden gave him the green light to go North and maybe even West now while Russia is weakened and preoccupied. Just to get the kinks in the juggernaut worked out.
Now that they've more perfected our domestic election interference and gutted the morale of our armed forces, all they have to do is wait while we weaken further, and throw a few wrenches into our machine for the next election cycle. Imagine 2020 on steroids. Riots, looting, Leftist enabled violence. Nobody would care about the Asian Pacific during the chaos as they floated tens of thousands of armed fishing vessels guarded by their navy and established a new maritime border. Attempting to militarily control first the land route of the Silk Road and then their maritime version through the Malacca.
They've got many options with their good friend and ally Biden in their back pocket with his son.
