Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
We had two terrible choices to choose from. I'm hoping a victory of this scale makes at least some Democrats realize that they need to change course. In 2016, they had an extremely narrow victory, not a brutal one like now. However, I have my doubts.
Hispanics moved big toward Trump, with 45% of Hispanic men and 40% of Hispanic women. Compare this to the 75% Obama won during both terms. The media's responding to this by calling them racist and stupid, meaning they have no understanding of why Trump has his appeal. Harris had twice the campaign money, the media's support, and most institutions, yet she was crushed. They honestly expected a Harris landslide; the bubble remains strong.
War is likely to break out regardless. Trump might be anti-Ukraine, but he's strongly pro-Israel, constantly attacking the Democrats for not giving them more support. Despite how furious certain groups are, and the shift toward anti-Israel attitude among democrats, the country as a whole still supports them.
With Ukraine, I don't know for sure what Trump will do. Half the time, he acts based on whatever impulse he has. He could end all aid to Ukraine on day 1... or he might send F-35s their way. It's hard to know, but either way, Europe has to learn to stand on its own. There's no reason they can't, given Russia is a ruin of what the USSR was. What they lack is will, being so used to us doing the heavy lifting.

I just saw that Iran's currency fell to an all-time low when Trump won, and I'm thinking China and Russia can't feel too good about the election, either.
Who thinks China will attack Taiwan (or, God forbid, the U.S.) before Trump actually takes office? It would be an act of desperation, but with my limited understanding, I can't rule it out.

I guess someone will tell me that the FBI said that the technology used by the investigators in the documentary is not reliable, which is what the FBI said. The problem is that the FBI uses that exact same technology in all of their investigations.
By the way over the last few years some courts have taken up some of these cases and when they actually saw the evidence the judgements were in favor of the people bringing the complaints, one of the cases was against Dominion the machine company and they lost.
The USPS after claiming that there were no ballots trucked in from New York to Pennsylvania as was reported by one of the truck drivers that did it launched an investigation into this claim after the hoopla of the 2020 election had died down and guess what , a few months ago they finished the investigation and found that ballots were brought from New York to Pennsylvania as it had originally been reported. All this has happened over the last 4 years and the corporate media has not reported on it and of course now it doesn't matter because these psychos have been in charge for the last 4 years. Navigator I don't want you to think I am picking on you but I don't know anyone else on this forum that doesn't believe that the 2020 election was not stolen, I am sure there are I just don't know who they are. Also like I have said you and others have the blind spots that I have talked about, but all of you also have a lot of knowledge and brains which contribute a lot to this forum.
I would just ask anyone on this forum one simple question, if there is no cheating going on or at least not in large enough numbers then why are the democrats against voter ID, why do they go to court and fight the removal of voters that are either dead or have moved out of state from the states voter rolls? Here's another question, why has the biden administration been allowing so many illegals to come into the country and then settling them in swing states and red states. I am sure this is just a coincidence. Here is another, why do they pass laws so that illegals can get drivers licenses and of course laws and regulations where by you can register to vote at the DMV at the same time you get a license or do any updates to your license?

Hopefully Trump can forget the past grievances and take his mandate to lead us through the crisis together. Anything otherwise would be a gift to our adversaries that would put us on the back heel.tim wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 6:51 pmthinker wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:28 pm The courts kept throwing cases out by claiming that the people bringing the claims didn't have standing, in this way the judges could throw out the challenges without even having to see the evidence. This question reminds me of the movie Red Dawn.Tom Mazanec wrote: Wed Nov 06, 2024 2:27 am FullMoon, if we could lose to China, what would that look like? China occupying America?
If we're conquered and occupied without a significant fight, that would be a loss. But I haven't seen it argued credibly.
The CCP, I've heard reports mention, believe that they'd have the upper hand in a war of attrition. It's the only kind of war that they've won and we've apparently lost a few in such manner. But it's a crisis war nobody will want to give in. A land war in Asia or a general nuclear exchange? Who thinks that there will be a winner? Pyrrhic victory is the most anyone could hope for and everyone will suffer. When we faced off with the USSR, we had a generation in charge who understood better the realities of near-peer neclear armed great power war. We have Trump and war hawks too young to remember the horrors of a great war. We'll all lose something and gain something.

That's a good question. They've got lots of problems and the seasonality of the waterway is unfavorable. They'll probably stick with their game plan and keep chipping away towards something coming up soon enough. They'll probably fuel the Russian,bMiddle East and Korean troubles before taking the chance. When they flare up, that might be how we'll we'll know it's soon.Who thinks China will attack Taiwan (or, God forbid, the U.S.) before Trump actually takes office? Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
I think that they will wait, hoping that they can pressure Trump to do what they want (as in not engage in a trade war), or that he may signal that they can take Taiwan without his interference.spottybrowncow wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:53 am I just saw that Iran's currency fell to an all-time low when Trump won, and I'm thinking China and Russia can't feel too good about the election, either.

I think that Trump will put tariffs on Chinese goods, which is proper, but this could push the CCP over the edge.
On another good note, I have read somewhat about Trump's choice as his Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, and I have been very impressed by her track record. She should be very good at the job.

I think that he will go after Letitia James (NY AG) for lawfare. Frankly, this is justified, as the case had no merit.FullMoon wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 8:42 pm Hopefully Trump can forget the past grievances and take his mandate to lead us through the crisis together. The Jan 6 conspiracy case will be dropped and he won't go after Jack Smith, as he won't want this brought up anymore.
He already got the most dangerous case against him (the classified documents) dismissed by Judge Cannon (who he appointed). Judge Cannon will get promoted.
We now have to wait and see how the transition goes, though it does look like Biden was so happy that Harris was crushed after pushing him out of the way, that it won't be like 2016 when Obama refused to help. On the other hand, Biden's team of radical controllers are working hard to do as much damage as possible before Trump takes over.

Thanks for pointing that out about our first female Chief of Staff, Navigator. I've read that Trump appointed smart women to run big projects back in the 80's. I think he's a little like Ghengis Khan - he doesn't discriminate against any talent willing to help him. To say that he is misogynist (or racist, or anti-semitic, etc) is demonstrably incorrect.Navigator wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 3:13 pm On another good note, I have read somewhat about Trump's choice as his Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, and I have been very impressed by her track record. The real bullet that the USA has dodged is the disruption of the continued influence of Barak Obama. He did more to set the US back than any president since Lyndon Johnson. Obama is personally responsible for the U turn in race relations in the country His operatives controlled the Biden presidency and were poised to control Harris (a useful idiot they foisted on Biden in 2020).
Luckily the majority in the country have had it with this woke crap, especially when it hits them in the pocketbook.
The Dem party may well split over this loss and the fallout, as the moderates left in their party see that they have no place and the extreme liberals go even more overboard.
