The CCP predicted the Trump election victory already anticipated his moves. Ending the Ukraine bloodbath and allowing Russia to free itself from the Dragon's yoke. Doing so necessitates a sooner rather than later approach to finally resolving the Taiwan issue. Anytime in the next 2 years.

We see the Communist Chinese full court press on the information warfare front. America is treating the war underway as though it's business as usual and money can buy influence... that's why we're still easy pickings and getting whipped in the war currently underway. Because it's not kinetic, people don't see it as a war.

This is a good article touching on important points about our current war with the Communist regime.

China is not “preparing” for war — it is now fighting the war it wants, on its own terms, as it clamps down on its objective. “All warfare,” Sun Tzu wrote, “is based on deception.” And there’s no greater deception than creating the impression of preparations for a shooting war but achieving the war’s desired objectives without firing a shot. That’s what Xi is after.

Undocumented "backdoor" found in Bluetooth chip used by a billion devices
The ubiquitous ESP32 microchip made by Chinese manufacturer Espressif and used by over 1 billion units as of 2023 contains an undocumented "backdoor" that could be leveraged for attacks.

The undocumented commands allow spoofing of trusted devices, unauthorized data access, pivoting to other devices on the network, and potentially establishing long-term persistence.

This was discovered by Spanish researchers Miguel Tarascó Acuña and Antonio Vázquez Blanco of Tarlogic Security, who presented their findings yesterday at RootedCON in Madrid.

"Tarlogic Security has detected a backdoor in the ESP32, a microcontroller that enables WiFi and Bluetooth connection and is present in millions of mass-market IoT devices," reads a Tarlogic announcement shared with BleepingComputer.

"Exploitation of this backdoor would allow hostile actors to conduct impersonation attacks and permanently infect sensitive devices such as mobile phones, computers, smart locks or medical equipment by bypassing code audit controls."

The researchers warned that ESP32 is one of the world's most widely used chips for Wi-Fi + Bluetooth connectivity in IoT (Internet of Things) devices, so the risk of any backdoor in them is significant.
“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; - Exodus 20:5

I have always kind of felt that the next war would be triggered by a financial crisis.

The world economy (let alone the US domestic one), has been a house of cards for years.

So Trump's Tariff "roller coaster" (he announces significant tariffs on major trading partners, then suspends them, then announces them again) could tip things over the edge.

It seems that someone gave him a book on President McKinley prior to the campaign. He read how McKinley used tariffs and thought it was a great idea (after all, the Federal government was funded entirely by Tariffs back pre-1900). The problem is that back then, there were no massive federally mandated spending programs, and the military was miniscule by today's standards.

Trump also doesn't realize that the Smoot-Harley tariffs of the late 1920s are widely considered to be the tipping point for starting the Great Depression.

So, the current Tariff talk and action could actually push world economies over the edge.

John wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 10:24 pm ** 02-Feb-2024 World View: China's attack

Navigator, Trevor, and I and others
have expressed viewa of different
scenarios of how China will
initially launch its attack. These
include attacks on Taiwan, Korea,
and Japan, as well as attacks on the
United States with nuclear weapons
and/or troops crossing the Bering
Strait or crossing the Pacific in
thousands of militarized fishing
boats.

But I see the initial attack
differently. I believe that China's
initial attacks will be huge and
crippling, and will be launched internal
to the United States. These attacks
will be massive, coordinated, and affect
every aspect of American life.
  • China will launch dozens of
    simultaneous terrorist attacks on
    American targets, conducted by Chinese
terrorist groups formed from the (tens
    of) thousands of military-age Chinese
men without IDs pouring across the
Southern border and released into cities
across America with no vetting except to
come to a court date ten years from
    now.
  • They may also be joined by
    military-age men without ID pouring
across the Southern border from those of
the 140 countries who are China's
    allies.
  • Simultaneously, there will be
    massive Chinee cyberattacks on American
    electrical grids, power stations, water
    stations, ports, bridges, buses, transit
    systems, and other infrastructure
    targets. FBI Director Christopher Wray
warned about this in testimony in
Congress on Wednesday, saying that the
hackers aim to "wreak havoc" on the
    entire country.
  • Simultaneously, China will have its
army of Chinese terrorist groups (see
    above) specifically target strategically
    important individuals, from a list
culled from China's huge database of
hundreds of millions of Americans that
they've been building for years by
    hacking government and commercial
    databases around the world.
    (http://www.generationaldynamics.com/pg/ ... tm#e181221)
The database contains name, SS num,
    phone, location, and other personal
    information for each person.
  • Simultaneously, China's military
will take control of all Huawei routers
on networks across America and around
the world. As I wrote years ago, I have
the skills to use encryption to hide a
"backdoor" in the code of a Huawei
router, so that no one could find the
backdoor without knowing the value of a
1,024-bit private key. If I have the
skills, then lots of people in China's
military also do. So we can be certain
China's military can control or disable
every Huawei (or ZTE) router in the
world, and shut off the vital networks
    they're connected to.
  • Simultaneously, China's military
will control or disable all Huawei/ZTE
    phones and other electronic
    devices.
  • Simultaneously, China's military
will take control of all devices that
    have installed TikTok.
  • Simultaneously, China's military
will launch dozens of ballistic and
    hypersonic missiles, with nuclear and
    EMS warheads, targeting American cities
    and military bases.
So, the word of the day today is
"multi-tiered," the word that the
administration is using to describe the
planned military response to Iran.

So, my expectation is that when the
Chinese Communists decide to strike, it
will be a multi-tiered attack.

Thanks for reposting that.
The tide is going out quickly for their ambitions to overtake the USA. They've spent their capital and the US is trying to actually pivot to meet this existential threat. We've maybe a few years but that's not long considering what's going to happen. How it begins isn't as important for most people as the fact that it will be a completely life changing experience for everyone. The only hope for continuing business as usual is if the CCP decides that the risk is too high and they let the chance pass them by. Because the risk is too high. And the time is now and for a few short years. Hopefully everyone reading this is adequately prepared. Big that's actually possible.

I once heard while watching a movie that "Movies are a harbinger of the future." Ironic then as I sit here in OKC (with the Mrs and 2 cats) that all the preceding talk, of which I'm nowhere close to you guys and your well-thought-out thoughts and words to even begin to add to...suffice to say that I totally agree and thank each and every one of you for speaking your thoughts and writing it all down (MOST ESPECIALLY what my hero, John, had to say last year, and thanks NoMansLand for posting that as I missed that somewhere down the line). Yep, like the 1983 movie, "The Day After," I can see in a similar KC fashion it all coming to pass what Dr. Russell Oaks witnessed from afar in his car when his Kansas City town was flash-bang obliterated by The Bomb(s). My oldest son, a Captain and soon to be Major in the USAF (and there's no damn SPACE in it either mister) said that 2025 SGHTF when it comes to China. Told me that in the summer of '24 while we were both surfing on a distant reef with a heavy crowd. Otherwise...in my own humble, and no-where-near-all-your-astute discussions, I just want to say I agree with most of all you and where your discussions are headed in our moving movie future. Keep up the excellent work!

Good to hear from you Iceman.
The PRC is definitely in crisis currently and the trajectory is on a steep downward slope. They're made too many huge mistakes and burned too many bridges. It's hard to keep up with the drama there and suffice it to say, their options are getting limited by the day. John was harping on about this situation since before anyone took him even remotely seriously. Which is why he called himself Cassandra. And now it pretty much mainstream news to see the condition getting closer in time and further out of control.

PRC military budget of approximately double GDP is an easy tell on their intentions. The fact that they're getting more bellicose and working ever harder to destroy the current world order and establish a new one with themselves as the center whilst the USA is knocked out.... It's all clear and obvious if you spend enough time following it. Economics is not the dismal science, geopolitics is. It depressed John and should be depressing for any good person to see these dark sides of humanity.

Love it! :D

Likewise from me to you regarding your opening greeting bell, FullMoon.

Ironic, all the talk about: "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine" (I think), has prompted me to order the movie, The Day After, to watch with the Mrs (and 2 cats) tonight. We both watched it when we were still basically newlyweds. Funny, how that movies are a harbinger of the future admonition is that much closer in present tense sense. And oh, I had to look up what the "PRC" abbreviation stood for. Thanks for schooling me on that too. Always learning something in here thanks in most part to you and what you created in here, Cassandra. ;)

I remember the movie well, especially when the guy on the horse was shot dead on his own land.
If you haven't read the novel "One Second After," there's no time like the present. You could probably finish it in a long day. It had me very depressed by the time I finished it, but it was well worth it.
