When a stock like Dominos rises 100 fold plus in less than 10 years people tend to look at the chart and then automatically do what Westerners who have been trained from birth to use the scientific method automatically do, which is to ascribe explanations to the phenomenon they are witnessing, then to find others who agree that the herd that created the phenomenon was correct in doing so.

In looking at the parabolic chart of Dominos stock, the chart looks like a tech company that has a great new high tech product. And what I've been reading a lot lately is, you know, Dominos is not really a company that uses low wage labor to deliver a crappy commodity product in a cardboard box, a product that has absolutely limited market demand even on a worldwide basis, no, it is really a high tech company because they have a great online platform developed in house that is unique to their business!

GOOGLE DID NOT violate federal labor law when it fired James Damore, a lawyer for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) concluded in a lightly-redacted memo made public Thursday. The former senior software engineer was fired from Google in August after internally circulating a ten-page memo arguing in part that women are not as biologically suited for coding jobs as men. After he was terminated, Damore filed a complaint with the NLRB, arguing that Google had violated his right to participate in protected activity, namely addressing problems in his workplace. The NLRB memo disagrees with Damore's complaint, and recommends dismissing it, were it not withdrawn.

Damore dropped the NLRB complaint last month to instead focus on a class action lawsuit he and another former Google employee brought against the company accusing it of discriminating against white, male, and conservative employees.

In my opinion, what Damore did is not a good idea. For anyone who believes what Damore is saying is true, the way to win at your job is to show that it is true. In other words, keep your mouth shut and excel at your job, not at writing stupid manifestos. There are 3 Gen X female engineers in my former workplace. All 3 expressed displeasure and anxiety when I gave my resignation. All 3 have kids to take care of. All 3 do less work and are less fit for their jobs than a male would be because of that. I can just about guarantee that these 3 former coworkers were my greatest allies in getting that 24% increase. I can almost hear the whining from 15 miles away.

I have a slightly different take on this than Ken Fisher does, though there is some overlap.

My take is that by definition AI computers can't value equity because equity is worth zero to an AI computer. AI computers can only guess how humans will value the worth of equity. If they let AI computers take over and run the show, they will crash equity to zero. We've already seen a preview of that.

Most human analysts at the financial institutions can't properly value equity either (as illustrated by the comments on DPZ quoted) but that's a whole different topic. I don't want to get started on that one.
